State Sen. Anthony Galluccio has once again avoided jail time after a judge ruled today the Cambridge Democrat must go on 24-hour house arrest after he failed several Breathalyzer tests. Yesterday, Galluccio said he flunked several breath tests while in court-ordered home confinement. He blamed Monday’s positive readings on his Colgate Total Whitening and Sensodyne toothpaste, which contain the sugar alcohol sorbitol. Do you believe the toothpaste defense?
