Are you afraid of new Airport Security Screening?The head of the US Transportation Security Administration acknowledged on Wednesday that the new security pat-downs are more invasive than they had been in the past as he defended the agency’s advanced airport screening measures. TSA administrator John Pistole told a US Senate committee hearing that he had undergone the new pat-down himself -- as had Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano -- and said, “It was more invasive than what I was used to.” The TSA has rolled out new advanced imaging technology (AIT) units, which use radio waves or X-rays to produce graphic images of passengers' bodies as they go through airport security.
