" a few weeks ago as a as an alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Hello -- happy go along what everybody else who went there because sort UNC. Tar Heels won the national basketball championship a good team -- upperclassmen guy who stayed in school. Tuesday liberal happier event -- for everybody involved. But that just a couple of days after that though it was it -- was a real embarrassment to a whole school I thought former congressman Tom Tancredo -- came down to speak. As you know he's a he he's an opponent of the illegal immigration and he he cute he ran for president -- last year. Trying to was trying to do something about this this this plague of illegal tonight stressed the word illegal aliens. The end he he was -- basically shouted down by AM by a handful of students and it was just. It it just was a nasty thing and end -- I've known Tom for awhile now I got to -- on the key you know went what does he was a crusading on this issue in the running for president. And I do want to walk column up and and talent that and tellem. Issue my apology and we which they -- while we get him on the year but Tom -- Tom Tancredo thanks for being with us here on the -- car show."
" Well listen I just do what I do want to apologize all right yeah I'll help you understand I think you do that most most people from the you win C communities. They don't do not feel all the way that -- those handful of protesters did and I was disgraceful incident than we we apologize. About I and I don't want to be like Barack Obama apologized for some I didn't go but don't we -- We we really we feel we we we feel bad about it believe beyond the that the chancellor was I think he was deeply. Disturbed about what happened does well at least that's what he said in his email follow the alumni."
" You don't I mean he didn't call and so did the president and they were both very very kind and and effusive in their apologies and I do believe they they admitted I. I've felt bad for the eat soars some of the cup there -- there are sort of Orwell because. How they would more than they had put less than 200 or more. That were causing the problem we had. One problem. Inside the room with this screaming and that's the thing though we had a much worse problem outside in the hallway. We have really got it got pretty physical pretty violent end. And see -- man. Someone true. I don't know what it or whether it was big brick or rock or something you're true to the window and that pretty much candidate when. Students started to broaden -- it was a very dangerous situation and so. -- got salt came in and come back hallway where they're having a problem and and and usher me out. I -- athletically and the only damage I know that period the only the only injury that occurred wouldn't that a very large. -- maneuver -- large policeman who was. I assure me out. That's how might what -- so my total of just. -- do I know you're really happened. Everybody get every whose side and they would find in that respect if there was any more serious injuries but. The fact is that. This -- you know -- the most. -- disconcerting aspect outright -- I'm I've been in play any of these kinds of things believe me I had. State demonstrators I've had to go in sometimes would swat teams and take me out but I never actually have had them. Stop me from speaking up when that dead when they got the forward there was really go. Says significant degree of concern about personal safe -- as you -- The part that got me. Was that. No these kids now screaming and -- well kid to kid you know it is not pleasant but. -- then the other -- you -- that all these prepared I should put that in quotes. Professors. Begging them all it. Screaming red blooded they were yelling the -- Stuff they were yelling at me it was amazing to me that these -- that teachers can you imagine what goes on in the classroom every single day. -- would very very disconcerting. That that's partly you're."
" what what I read them. In the news some of the news accounts in the North Carolina newspapers was that they were Dorsey -- there was a Hispanic a group there in the Hispanic go -- student leader was trying to tell all these all these people to shot happened let you speak."
" Update at this -- young ladies and came down and -- by the room. And -- look we're from the Hispanic something or other big group and we want to hear what he's gonna -- because we've got to respond to it. And I said. That's sounds like a deal I said you. You go ahead you if you let me speak then I guarantee you I'll leave them stay here while these other the other groups -- that group. They had to restart it's okay with me. And so. Okay duck duck started out there who you know maybe a 32 can do it that's when the -- came through windows is that's an open up."
" That's that's just pitiful this that's disgraceful I am. Again it's it's it's a bad thing I mean that's what UNC should be about but that's the way it is in most colleges now I think a lot of colleges."
" At least I got to -- at least I got into the campus odds. Two days ago I probably didn't go to Providence, Rhode Island. I had been indicted by a student group -- because Providence College. And they would let me on campus. The now that the private school if they're Catholic school so they can do it but so I went to the gates -- big school and spoke on the street. To about 600 or so supporters and about 400 opponents have."
" Yes that's a legend in their garage for all who flew through she's a graduate of that school you know she's -- the one who says that the way anyone who went to the tea parties is a racist."
" speaks well yeah it's. Bowl that's right I saw that I don't execute a graduate of -- valid."
" Yeah I don't think they advertise that a lot you know what -- a man replies and another another guy who went to Providence college's your former colleague in the the house patches Kennedy Patrick oh yeah."
" Yeah I did hear about that and had their doubts. It's silly but that -- great because they were at least respect I mean and other Beckett they can do maybe 30400. Of them and they words. Say alt key down and were -- Paper. -- weird thing you're wearing paper. Plate and with rubber band -- your head and they're in front of their -- And and may I couldn't figure out what do we know about really and had as good medicine student and apparently. Because they had painted these people played various colors. That is that was -- they low they were saying is that they -- the very very diverse group and then made the next game got in and images turn them."
" Much much of a statement if you have to explain what the statement is a step. Above average to a -- different athletic I don't know just as well. As we get credit they've got it right -- you've -- political action committee now so what we -- to -- just what you love mentioned that that is -- is -- here -- thanks for being with -- so what's the name your political action committee your --"
" So what are. I actually I don't have a pack I have got the foundations. And I'll tell -- The rocky mountains foundation and yet yet -- to -- they love rocky mountain foundation and I should. Yeah dot org -- So it does do -- I do what I am doing credit prosper under that. I do that did banner and try to push this same issue they're. Trying to deal with them in congress this group that invited me to. Both campuses actually -- Norton Bob North Carolina and Providence is a group called. You don't pro western civilization. And unlike you I am just so. Excited that the -- and they really are people students on campus who appreciate western civilization are not that are not. Intimidated. By the by other professors who despite this. And dad are willing good NF considered something of value here and it. It is not got anything do with the rays got got nothing to do it with national origin it's got to do with our history our blue. Well we are how the nation said what -- what are the benefits of western civilization what do we bring the world. I'm telling you that's very encouraging that there are kids out there willing to do it and elders of the having so many job. Demonstration. Again me when I go and speak on this issue they picked up chapters over campus campuses though if I take."
" You're usually you're turning into a regular EM cult. A well right now I -- he had been made but -- but didn't give Belgrade bureau Ira I don't exactly US going to be ties thrown in your face shown good enterprise. Epithet that's best."
" 18774694322. We're talking to Tom Tancredo the former Colorado congressman. It and they say he's he's traveling around speaking to one college campuses including the other one were I would I attended for four years and graduated from and -- sorry about what happened. And -- can you take some calls Tom want -- Alitalia the general are extra with how we car and a former congressman Tom Tancredo go ahead gem."
" I have a suspect -- particular phone call. -- I'm O I've got to figure out I guess is we don't hear all that much about the immigration process than in Washington you have any insight into that -- aware that north gone -- the good bad indifferent."
" Chuck Schumer is I think starting today years from Monday's. -- he said -- dynamically. They will begin pushing it may have been pushing it all around the country they're doing a little road show of their own. Congressman good candidates from. Chicago it's been going rather country preparing the groundwork for another amnesty. And they they were afraid to let time debate when they lost city in the end you remember when you guys help -- down that this column in the Senate. -- they said well we're we're not prepared they were not organized but now they're gonna be organized responding to all of the people who call. And and so it's gonna come again. Also bigger and they've announced that. They're going to stuff. These -- Quote made where people are are picked up who are working illegally at the big plant. And they're going to just can't concentrate based say on a -- employers look I'm all for that but. States they also are not continuing so they aren't saying Democrats that the administration the congress. If they really wanted to do something about. About employers. Which in fact I think is a great idea but it is really what do they would continue with call. BE verify. Which uses but -- this it's a program. This. Employers can use. You determine whether or not BP employees that they want the job with them had a good Social Security number -- very easy bingo online -- about. -- second to find out now they're going to kill that and the reason they're gonna kill that program is because it works it's got. So many illegal to getting the job. So they're really not geared to that it they're going to try everywhere they can't believe me I guarantee. To us to bring back him that he built and opened the borders."
" But you know the sad thing though is Tom I think that probably there's some Republicans who were in the pockets of a big business who probably support killing the program as well don't play."
" Absolutely the biggest. Problem with that that continue here in the biggest. Opponent really in the congress argued that the guy would but it pressure group interest group is seat chamber of commerce. Oh yeah I -- Dutch Republicans duke double -- side with them I don't know but it that. That's the best thing we ever had was that one particular. Program called."
" Thank you don't. Play it. W I just I'm into the middle of other calls placed on the call Jim another -- you're next with how we car and represented a former representative Tom Tancredo going."
" You make it all right mr. Tancredo you may recall that mr. Ahmed you know job was welcomed. A month ago Columbia. Universities. But -- and doubt that happened that I republic sponsored by the administration of the of the university. Brother and currently the group. But I and a -- Having been through the experience he went through what are your impressions -- your observations about the state. A tolerant. And rational discourse in American higher education. "
" Let's say when there are so many in both cases by the way both the -- Be at Providence college and UNC. They they were so many professors that were in. You break in there with the student egging them on pushing them on what can you say how can you explain that how how."
" A lot what kind of discourse do they allowed their classroom it's an indication of just how close minded they are."
" You know I have been in this business now are long gone over 35 years I have been in front of many many group. Very -- both groups and delete them supported I have."
" I have participated in."
" Literally hundreds of events never have I seen in my entire life and I think conservative. Student or faculty members quicker aren't that many of the social ladder but never have I seen conservative shut down anybody else's."
" Program never did never happened and what does that tell you about the differences -- a lot between two and one really into injured student and ideas."
" I certainly I have the -- debated in protest I've held a -- but I've never done anything like stop the person from actually speaking and by the way this."
" I remember when I was in college at DS would be responsible for stopping two -- three."
" The speakers and coming SI Hayek always want to remember distinctly heard him."
" Yet the former senator from California the president of San Francisco State yet."

" Screaming and yelling holding a banner who got to make based on trying to talk. Why would they do did what they've been told about me or for the whole idea of immigration reform or or or western civilization. That they would actually get into a frenzy like it."
