You're able to beat back some -- rather opponents how does Bill Richardson look at the field right now on how do you move forward. Well I'm stressing the war I'm the only candidate for the planned in the war bring all the troops home. My main goal here mister speaker and I always call -- that -- my body under -- you're great speaker is to be in the top three import now. I'm fairly close senator Edwards right now within maybe seven points since that debate I feel I won the debate I've been searching. Polls are moving my way crowds are getting bigger but you know then after New Hampshire we had and friendly territory for me. Like the list that Nevada Arizona Colorado New Mexico California. And February that what I want to have a good showing here you know if you mention I have some New England roots my wife's from my New England she graduated from. Colby-Sawyer college in London Andy well tops -- guys were Jumbo. And I didn't -- the -- as a relief pitcher wasn't star but. You know I can get the ball over the place and I think you do one of the most important thing you could possibly do well fairly well at least weeks ago I think you indicated a an allegiance to the Red Sox as opposed that the NBA -- I did -- got in trouble because I hit said. Ambassador to the United Nations. -- cabinet secretary on energy one of the most timely and credible and relevant topics -- a governor who was balanced budgets and put. Police in the field and reformed education and on a whole series of other things. Help me in the listeners understand with such an impressive resonate with a guy who actually does job each and every day. The voting electorate has not raced it yet. Not a -- Bill Richardson in the way they have Hillary Clinton Barack Obama ready even Jon it with how do you breakthroughs that public. Whatever it might be. Well you do it by hard work by getting exposure you know I don't have the money of those candidates they buy a lot of -- they're glamorous. They have political pedigree some. A western governor. And glamorous nonetheless I don't glamorous working -- now but I think eventually mr. speaker that the message to get out that you know you know the Cuban government. It's in the states where the action it would result people's problems as governors speaker. And it in order to be able to bring change you -- know how to govern you have that experience you can talk about it. And the message that I'm delivering news that you know I've gone hit him with a north Koreans I've gone head to head with some rooms. I've been an energy secretary -- in the cabinet and congress. I've been a governor who's balanced budgets and cut taxes and dealt with people's problems you know increased health care -- insured kids and well. And and eventually that message gets through but. You know with -- all the hype with the all the national media focusing on top three. It's hard to break through but we eventually will we -- fifty caucuses primaries to go. I mean people shouldn't be calling the winner so -- Quick question and I think this to these at two topics that are relevant not just for the northeast but specifically to New Hampshire energy ago I know which is in in -- wheel house and education let's stay within it. Under president Bill Richardson. What is and what are the first three things you do in order to give would move America to energy independence. First fuel efficiency standards for vehicles fifty miles per gallon. Secondly energy electricity 30% should be from renewable sources. And third we need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by 80% that's the plan is being polluted. That's what I would do an -- and lessen the dependence on foreign oil by 50% by the year 2020 by shifting. The solar wind biomass biofuels but also mr. speaker I ask every American sacrifice a little bit when it comes to energy efficiency when it comes to. Appliances and transportation and mass transit and and the way we live. You know the American people ready to sacrifice -- bit if if you ask -- say it's for the common good. You talked about the potency of great teachers and classroom that's -- on education and you talked about literally elevating the pay and the professionalism. What's going on in in in New Mexico on the young governorship and what can we expect under president Bill Richardson on education well and education we've increased teacher salaries we've gone from. 48 in the country 27. Nationally what I would do. Mr. speakers first -- get -- no childhood and it's terrible loss I have a minimum wage for world teachers at 40000 dollars per year. I'd emphasize science and math. Art schools as a way to get kids stronger and science and -- state college loans. The government takes two years of college own user of your tuition at state colleges and private colleges and exchange you do one here -- services. But stuff governor we know you're up against the clock end many many people want to get to the governor delighted that governor Bill Richardson was able to join us -- we wish you well.
