The two winners for this week's Police Blotter Contest were a man who shot himself in the rear end watching The Bourne Supremacy when his gun fell out of his pocket and a guy who was attempting to siphon gas with a mouth hose from a camper and got the sewage tank by mistake.

Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Murray, citing the growing cost of maintaining the state's transportation infrastructure, said yesterday the administration may soon seek an increase in the gas tax. Reports indicate that the commonwealth's transportation needs appear to be growing faster than the state can afford to repair and update its infrastructure. Mr. Murray said a discussion about raising revenues for transportation needs is coming in the next year or two. Are you for a gas tax increase?
