  3. How can Anthony Weiner be Confused about Lewd Photos?

    Audio

    06/02/2011

Just when it looked like Rep. Anthony Weiner's had reached maximum foot-in-mouth capacity in his pushback against that provocative photo somebody posted to his Twitter account, he went on the Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer this afternoon and managed to hit new levels of groin-photo ambiguity. After again denying he sent the image, Blitzer asked if he's ever taken photos "like this" before. Weiner replied that "there are photos out there" (He gave a similarly cryptic/smarmy reply when reporters asked him a few minutes earlier if he was in the photos. "There are photographs of me in the world, yes," he said.) At which point Blitzer brought out the heavy artillery, showing the image and asking "You would know if these were your underpants?" Is he just digging himself a bigger hole?

Surveys indicate that the number of shoppers using credit cards for holiday purchases has fallen to the lowest percentage ever since such data has been gathered. That's a good sign considering that an estimated 13.6 million Americans are still paying off debts from last holiday season. The reasons for choosing cash or debit over credit are pretty obvious. With cash, there's a set limit to how much a consumer can spend. Once it's gone, that's that. Are you using just cash and debit cards now or do you still use a credit card to make your purchases around the holidays?
