A Rasmussen tracking survey has former House Speaker Newt Gingrich just three points behind Governor Mitt Romney in the South Carolina primary race. Meanwhile Newt is making a big deal of Mitt Romney only paying 15% of his income in taxes. Guest host Joe Battenfeld did not have a problem with Mitt's percentage given that this was on investment income and Mitt already had paid taxes on the money that was invested.

  2. Should illegal aliens receive in-state tuition

    More fromHowie Carr

With federal efforts stalled, state lawmakers are making a push of their own for a controversial measure allowing illegal immigrants to pay in-state tuition at state colleges. The Joint Committee on Higher Education will hold a hearing today on two bills that would implement the change, which proponents say will make access to higher education more equitable. But opponents argue the legislation is yet another attempt to give breaks to illegal immigrants to the harm of lawful citizens. The state bills are similar in aim to the federal Dream Act, which goes a step further by granting conditional permanent residency status to qualifying illegal immigrants who graduate from high school. Since being introduced a decade ago, the Dream Act has repeatedly failed to gain enough congressional support to become law. Should Illegal Aliens recieve in-state tuition?

Rosie O’Donnell says Osama bin Laden deserved due process and a trial before Navy SEALS eliminated the 9/11 mastermind in a heroic raid last Sunday. “You don’t want to become what you loathe… wasn’t the whole point of this is that we are not monsters?” wonders .She argues, “You can be upset about the fact that [bin Laden] didn’t have due process, that he didn’t get tried,” later explaining, “Because other people are capable of criminal acts on our soil doesn’t equate to ‘Therefore, we are allowed to do criminal acts on their soil.’” Did he deserve Due process?
