The Bureau of Labor Statistics released the jobs report today showing the unemployment rate dropped from just above 8 percent to 7.8 percent between August and September. Douglas Holtz-Eakin, a former economics adviser to John McCain and the former head the Congressional Budget Office, calls the numbers "implausible." Howie thought it was obvious that the fix was in on the report to help the President before the election.

So I hope to see a lot of people there tonight there tomorrow night patients say tomorrow night in the and -- 1877469432218774694322. It's America also has 339. We found an additional 86000. Jobs in July and August it it's -- really yes if you don't quarter ever from ever thought. But just before the election we would we would come up with me with no numbers. That would that would provide. You relief. To the candidate who just took a beating in the in the debate in Denver on non on non Wednesday night. This was a great thing in the in the American spectator blog. About the I know Jack Welch from IG. It was blogging saying this these these numbers were. BS I know Rick sent tally from CNBC that the father of the Tea Party said the will be asked. But this is that this is the way that this is a better. Description of what these numbers mean. A flashback -- by getting Robert -- -- for a flashback to a CNN article from just before the 2004 election -- shows how just how one believable today's new unemployment numbers are. September 2004 new numbers came out showing a drop in unemployment. From five point 5% to five point 4%. At that time with a much lower unemployment number that we have today around 8% the increase in new jobs. -- -- point point 110 of a percentage point decrease in unemployment. 110 of 1%. That's. 13 of the increase of the decreased today that was a hunger with a 144000. New jobs. In 2004 went down 110 of a point. So let's get this straight. With it 144000. New jobs in a smaller US population. 29295. Million in 2004 vs 314 million today. You get a drop in unemployment by 110 of 1%. Eight years later with a greater population you get. You work jobs 1141000. New jobs and somehow you get an even larger drop in unemployment. From eight point 1% to seven point 8%. It's like saying deporting one gallon of gas in -- ten gallon gas tank constitutes. Filling 10% of the gas tank. In 2004. Reporting three quarters of a gallon of gas it would even larger eleven gallon. Gas tank in 2012 constitute filling 12% of the cast. That's Fuzzy math that would George Bush used to say Fuzzy math. That's it just doesn't make it he sets so but we're supposed to believe that and and Barack Obama's running around that he sees his his hard work his hard work is paying office and it. Is for a month. This -- Mitt Romney said today this is not what a real recovery looks like we created fewer jobs in September than in August and fewer jobs in August than in July and we've lost over 600000 manufacturing jobs since Obama took office. If not for all the people who simply dropped out of the labor force the real unemployment rate would be closer to 11%. The reason it's come down this year is primarily due to the fact that more and more people had just stopped looking for work. Exactly. The results of president Obama's failed policies are staggering 23 million Americans struggling for work nearly one in six living in poverty 47 million people depend on food stamps to feed themselves and their families. The choice in this election is clear under President Obama will get another four years like the last four years of I'm electable up a real recovery with pro growth policies. The will create twelve million new jobs and rising incomes for everybody. 1877469432218774694322. How -- the unemployment number -- the published is probably correct except that -- it except that the number of people who -- Except that the equation they use -- faulty because completely leaves out those that have been out of work for over three weeks the use six numbers are much more. Accurate. How -- there's a rally for Scott Brown tomorrow Saturday in Hyannis at the village green. What time is that for PM -- SS 4 PM all right 4 PM. And they say bush used Fuzzy map what Fuzzy is is Obama using to get the seven point 8%. It now. I just I just I don't know who's who will Obama goes to way it goes to one rallies in front -- I mean. I know that that we have -- -- do we have -- Mitt Romney's pull back on the 47% last night was Sean Hannity. Yet that you got them on their will will look for that -- Mitt Romney yeah. Said he made a mistake with the 47%. Last night which was clear which was clear from day one I mean -- we wasn't talking about 47%. He would. You're -- -- it 47% of people don't pay -- income federal income taxes but he wasn't talking about all of them being -- abouts. He -- probably it's closer to 20% that's like abouts and we note they're voting for. And they needn't they needn't pretend to be offended because we know that not a -- The other. Maybe not maybe not. Are right. However when Santelli says he smells a rat -- sent -- smelling a -- that. This is a Rick Santelli the this the guy who created the Tea Party back in 2009. If he's he's very good he's extremely cynical he's -- -- works on the Chicago Board of Trade at it for a CNBC. And -- mean he's he's been predicting this Perot for months like a lot of people but they were a credit to what goose visa. Unemployment numbers down beat right before -- right before the election and sure enough -- Detroit before the election and guess what's this is what's happened. It clearly and in a campaign with hundreds if not thousands of speeches and question and answer sessions. It down then you're gonna say something that that doesn't come out right in this case has just like this just completely wrong. And I absolutely believe however that my life Michelle. That I care about a 100%. And and that's been demonstrated throughout my life and this whole campaign is about the 100%. When I've become president it will be at about helping the 100%. As I put it out last night in the debate. The rich in this country are actually doing better and put under president Bob of the big gap between the rich and the poor has got larger. That the rich the rich are probably do fine even if he's reelected it's the middle class. That's in real trouble if President Obama is reelected and the poor I want the court to get into the middle class so many have fallen into poverty by virtue his policies. So this for me is all about the 100%. You know he he really is if he he really is a a good. Good charitable. Christian man you know. But I saw a story today in the in in New York magazine which now mostly I just found that the GM and was looking through it may have a story about Mitt Romney. No it was like the basically the bishop for the Mormon Church in the wing -- filly ran for the senate two in 1994. And and they they had all kinds outreach programs for all these are all these groups you know these immigrant groups they they they -- they tried to build a Mormon. Congregations and only in among the Cambodians. The the -- betterment trouble with the illegal aliens cutting his lawn in Belmont. The reason the reason that was beyond what that guy as he was that he was on form. You know they had they had recruited this guy is a Mormon and a Mitt Mitt I gave him. You know he he -- in my use an illegal aliens and then and then Paul and then then. He bit gave him one more chance and he said thus peace a they can give -- any chances so be. The guy is the guy is a decent person and -- you know I -- that was a stupid thing to say the 47%. But it wasn't it was an insult to some of the 47%. -- -- of 47%. 18774694322. The year. The all these all all these polls where you know the the Wall Street Journal NBC pole and CBS New York Times they had everything over last last time. Last week at this time but now what's all -- bright back this is Rasmussen of Virginia Romney 49. Obama 48 Florida it's. Part way he's ahead by. He's ahead by two points in four in Florida these are good these are good numbers she's ahead in Ohio Beazer he he needs he needs these states he needs all the states. But he's he's looking better it's gonna it's gonna take awhile for the debate this weekend. And in in -- gonna I wanna want to you -- before that we're gonna take a lot of calls today but I. I want you to hear this at Joseph Biden again I mean remember when remember 1980 for a Fritz Mondale said sets some people analyze the meaning board meeting Reagan and say you know we don't wanna raise your taxes and guess what we wanna raise your taxes we're gonna raise your taxes he said this in his acceptance speech at the Democratic Convention. So this is this is. It that this is. Joseph Biden middle class show that a. Then on top of that. The top of the trillion dollars in spending we've already cut we're gonna ask yes. We're gonna ask the wealthy to pay more my heart break. -- -- -- -- Obama Biden will Hillary taxes by a trillion dollars. Tesla. Yes we do in one regard. We want to let that trillion dollar tax credit expires in the middle class doesn't have to bear the burden for all morning don't. True blood dot -- You -- begun you should be coming from a mental last. What is she -- why are they talking about this if they hate. The that's not a bush era tax cut the knock it it it's that it's the rate that is bin. In place since 2002 were 2003. And in 2010. Obama. In middle class Joseph decided that they sort of -- letting go forward for another two years the economy is in worse shape today than I was. -- 2000 had just gotten -- one of -- talking about so why would you wanna get rid of the bush era tax rates now. What is this fairness. The fairness everybody everybody's going to be a waiting in line to what to get a get a paid always is that that's the fairness you want. Everybody's going to be driving any of -- Yeah I don't want that kind of fairness you know give me give me a chance to make some money give give everybody a chance to make some money. 18774694322. And how about them gas prices. How bout them gas prices in California. You know this this will give the the lame stream media chance not to have to world report on the gas prices tonight on the evening news. But that the prices are out of control their up over four dollars most places in California the biggest state in the union they're heading the going to be heading towards five dollars. Of course it would. Nobody cares about the LA times has decided nobody cares about that people are now complacent about that. Killed. Yeah exactly that's the reality it's not it's not some. Not some trust fund that or bomb up pilot saying that you know people don't care about paying four bucks a gallon the idea of well do -- Care about in four bucks a gallon. They pay if they pay four bucks a gallon that's the that that's a hell of a lot less money they have to pay for everything else Joseph -- next with how we -- go ahead Joseph. Well good morning good morning good afternoon how some unquote cradle in the joke by now that so. Iran. Hummer through a couple of numbers Q and -- Antilles right to smoke like a rat and the rats named the Department of Labor. You know it takes about a 100000 jobs. Would be jobs. Unemployment rate to state level. 1141000. Men -- well with the business service at a 1141000. Jobs created. But household survey reported 873000. Jobs. Would you -- again. The last time possible -- reported any jobs. With. 28 months ago. And all the 873000. Jobs just pop up from council certainly. I guess finally bouncing shovel ready jobs Joseph. The household survey has been losing jobs every month this year. And almost a million jobs just just like that overnight. Appear. So what's gonna are we got a major wreck here and I have a feeling this is gonna come back and this is gonna bite Obama right in the back side. -- it'll Sununu always says well I think the Bureau of Labor Statistics they were always on the level you know when I was in -- bush White House but you know what. A lot of things were on the level twenty years ago that aren't on the level anymore and I'd say I would have to say the Bureau of Labor Statistics is is one problem. Thanks for the call Joseph we got a -- -- -- to do what you about a few phone numbers here 18774694322. Do you believe the new unemployment rate is seven point 8%. -- -- do not. Yet 98%. Are we sent tight there and cannot find this the fixes and. Only 98%. 1877469432218774694322. Paul your next without -- cargo I have pol. And finally get your last college of them when I was gonna go lift especially think that the morning Alex. What the 873000. Households surveyed that as the biggest Collins said he didn't issue CA BA got a job. Well it's it's like the green jobs you know wave created all these jobs the good the green jobs you know. And they say if you're if you're G editor at -- one of these places that makes it -- that makes. Solar panels that they can't sell their five times more expensive than the ones that come from China you're listed as a green worker right. -- -- -- I would if you drive a bus on the if you drive Abbas on the campus of Solyndra you're agreed worker. So they've they've jacked up all these numbers of course the nod then the numbers all eventually go away anyway even though they're phony jobs because they the companies can't compete. -- from the debate you shouldn't gas and oil. Obama wanted to cut over whatever they get two point 7000000004. Two point eight billion. He set out. Yeah oil companies to and bring him back and I country. But why would he do he's given over four billion to like Venezuela in. I think Brazil is the one -- -- zealously -- -- Can't we get -- best customer but he doesn't want to reinvest in our country what is up -- back. I I don't get it I I don't understand that I don't understand why he's not allowing any drilling on nine and war or were. Or or the the Gulf Coast I don't understand why does want directly to what they have keystone. The Keystone Pipeline going for I mean Q I can't imagine anything better than the Keystone Pipeline mean girls are real. Jobs that produced. Real. Products that Americans need you know why what are these aren't these aren't these phony baloney he jobs like you know you know BD of the GM and or Solyndra. Mean these are these are jobs were were actually gonna get some results and it's gonna help the economy. I just wish around the came back elements have been wise to get over affordability into these other countries and say we -- Will be about -- Well there's two short days two more debates pollen that he had import it. I thought it was brilliant when he had -- -- what he said we give fifty times more to visa phony baloney green green and industries that prevents any thing. -- 90000000090. Billion and they go on and they're going crazy whether it's a Barack Obama or Elizabeth Warren one crazy about the oil subsidies and -- the big. Big government makes a lot more off of oil and big oil us. Just like big government makes a lot more money off big tobacco and big tobacco -- you know -- who think kidding. -- you're next with -- cart web part. They're going out. George -- George. Your trim but not one of them -- No I I -- -- I don't know these Shapiro. Veteran. 4034. Years you care more. And I really. I really got a kick out of Chris Matthews Ali started -- -- keep going on it and I think Obama did. That he did. Well without. You know actually it kind ANC -- Jolie -- brain. Yeah. And I think pressure to realize that. Death and what happened this paper are -- in the next fair -- this. I want our Chris or Chris have any electroshock therapy yesterday I want to just like dragged amendment just said look you gotta we've got to adjust your -- and we've got to give you some mud just some brutal electroshock therapy. With a lock they'll destroy your short term memory of the debate and I think you're dead. -- that lets say you give us they give us the Chris Matthews cut again about how brilliantly it's easy it's like to debate never happened with Chris Matthews. And that's up and who worked its way screaming. You know I ask your personal question about the price you know -- -- look at them in so many -- when -- them I just say to myself. And I did this really objectively I think I look at who was definitely agree to -- coming out this guy had to be present. He has -- command of the issues he had -- scope he has relatives he gives doctors a regular person and common English as well as the one taught. He's got an IQ that must be up -- hundreds of whatever race on there and -- depends -- money tongue tied. He let the other guy owned the room what do you think was on his mind before you underground because I know you think a lot about this and -- He has scope. -- -- -- -- -- -- You know you know all respect to eat when he put out 67 that 26%. Because it's not going to be a -- -- huge post debate jump for -- -- Every great did you just hear me say Josh she is now what I had in all I know he is now I have my Florida he -- -- what a couple of points. Couple were able to import OK. -- republic. A second wait a second was behind by two points last week. That -- Josh even even your hero. Bernie Sanders the man you worship. Even the -- said that that you that he was listless in the. As a black Hispanic and women they all -- bishop Romney right now right. -- -- Law while also it's oh let's let's get some houses. That's -- that's no they wanna bring out the they really get desperate they start thrown out the Mormon stuff you know we've seen this before that you. Josh why did you call him mr. -- Mormon. All of them are more men like John King used a column on CNN. You know those you have mormons that you you can't trust a Mormon right you know they have -- -- got it they also mildly don't drink they don't go on welfare. Boy that's a lot to hate there is their god and an hour ago. Out of your mind. Go get some medications -- birdie at the at the CBS. Story and -- Burlington. 18774694322. On how we car. -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- Like I wonder if that he got some of that. MSNBC Kuwait delivered to -- overnight delivery you know to get so he get back again fighting trim he wasn't around yesterday once. You know somebody somebody points a text message -- -- would would Josh every daresay would be just said about the mormons. But the religion of peace -- don't think so. I don't think so. 603 says taught school in Connecticut for thirty years the Mormon students -- world was kind polite hard working -- -- find him millions. This is bad because. Question mark question mark question mark yeah exactly. Gas in Portland is now 415. But most -- T shirts right -- 399. I'd rather have a gallon gas at 415 them Beaux arts teacher from the three and 99. You can't you how far do you go line. How far can you go one of only Bo Sox T shirt. 18774694322. Well professor Warren -- -- implement this weekend protesting Columbus today. That. Yeah it's a beautiful Elizabeth Warren summer day ago it's it's yes it's it was a book -- Indian summer day. We're gonna we're gonna have the guy -- talking a key I didn't do justice to the head to the drunken Indian. Being shot by Elizabeth Warren's great grandfather yesterday. We need we need one of the people who actually dug up the -- the evidence you know did you say I don't know posadas but that. A bunch of a black ministers in Boston and endorsed Elizabeth Warren yesterday and you know why it's it's tough patch -- it's it's just so terribly divisive. What Scott Brown has been doing. Pointing out that Elizabeth Warren is in the it's divisive the point so it's okay. Sorts OK if you. Want to get ahead by being a fake minority that's all is that all right with these black ministers then. 18774694322. And -- by the way -- the the Rasmussen poll was a three day rolling average so -- you have one. You have one day in there right now. The obamas to one or two points ahead petroleum one day and since the debate and some of these -- seven days were seven day rolling averages sort of take awhile to show up. 18774694322. Jeff you're next with Howie -- going Najaf. How any help me out it would -- stopped looking for work. Belichick playing every week but whatever a couple weeks as the -- straight -- Active police searching actively seeking employment. So all these people stop look at it does again about all these checks and accurate anymore checks. Well I think it does doesn't it means that they've run out of there -- 99 weeks or however many weeks you're getting now under the current system and that they've just they're just not look and anymore and they're getting by on their spouses. Paycheck whether or -- or they've moved back in -- back with their parents -- or something else. Are right damage a lot of -- and also it's also going to be most notably weak and I was trying to and the stadiums. Also would -- -- you know the -- they keep people keep talking about the use 66. Includes people who don't have jobs. And also people who used to have full time jobs but who now have to work part time jobs. And that's another huge. Huge number of Americans. -- you know one number that they they never collapsed around met on there they're all there almost trying to quote unquote fact check him. You know it's that that just means that just tried to trip trip them up the fact checking is almost on by the left wing media but they -- no one has gone after him on the 23 million. You know because it because there are 23 million people that are out of -- that are in the prime working years you know whatever it is 25 to 65. But -- -- just aren't good days they're either -- they're not working or there were under underemployed. Right and I don't think that number and what those those great burst into that they just said happened. Knowledge no no one no one's by and it did discover they're gonna throw one out there tonight but again it's a it's a it -- -- this morning they didn't have to talk about it the crappy debate numbered the crappy debate on now Wednesday night and does this evening they won't have to talk about the gas prices. Heading up over four dollars pretty much across the board in California. And you edgy as you always know anything that happens in California is coming our way that's that's the way it's always -- thanks for the call -- up. 18774694322. With the gas prices and unemployment allies in California could the state be imply he had left I've seen people speculating on the -- I. I don't know the the problem with California is the colts you know. It's to LA and San Francisco but it vetted those people they they did -- overnight polls and everybody in the end bid the two major metropolis is spot that the Mitt Romney won. You get into the you get into the inner areas. The inland parts of California -- solid in their sets but those are rub that's red areas but there that there's so many more people. In the it in the coastal regions. Dan your next with how we cargo ahead Dan. -- how are you how starred did there's nowhere else when -- in light of its -- win it it's gonna keep I know. At best this is just the way it's -- -- -- but you know it it in general you know at no point I think Romney had a shot. Until after the debate the other night in what I start happened it was incredible it was huge it was such -- Mismatch it was ridiculous so I can guarantee that if that debate was close. The unemployment rate to date would be eight point 1% or -- point -- six within that after. No doubt that at its target the moment and ex order a deal -- make -- seven point. Exactly and you know our opinion but what they'll do modified and next month the you know lower or December. December the election will be over and allowed they'll do the read be the adjustments like they were doing all summer.
