Joined now by senator Kelly they ought to a Republican from New Hampshire she was at the debate last night. And -- wanted to get the inside story from her -- Kelli thanks for being with us here today. And I have to tell you you know we are watching on the television right right behind that debate around. You -- parents and got when nothing has ever -- there is an outburst of applause. For Mitt Romney last night he showed. That he is an effective strong leader what a command of the facts. And what a contrast between governor rod and the president. In the president is an hour and 25 minutes here one mention of the stimulants. You know did you -- one mention on any policy issue it's gonna be different the next four years. He couldn't defend his record -- what a contrast. Now you -- he wore white he would you play in -- just yesterday. Flew yesterday to have problems without that Al Gore was a speculating that the president have flying you know hung -- there I don't know the mile high city now. Only outdoor ads there and -- -- I I didn't -- -- -- -- some -- at this quiet yesterday afternoon. And fellow I was still able to you know -- hole. And you talk people. Despite the altitude I'm not sure how I did it but. What a ridiculous excuse. Yeah exactly it. I don't really -- moment last night how you are. I had just coming back from in the auditorium -- an interview with CNN I was walking back. Toward the answer to the -- your room and and that was going on stage in the auditorium. And so I got to eat right there and -- diet and you know it was just really exciting -- I was I just say hey go get them and boy did he go get a lot it was. It was terrific then what do command of the facts are your. I was I was like just like I thought I was watching with -- my kids and I said I said this the worst beating I've ever seen -- debate and you know watch this closely do you -- never see another one like quite like this again. Huge contract even in contrast in knowledge. Here we have a president in the search for four years. Says challenger governor Romney -- so much more on the facts. Had a clear vision for how it's gonna turn things around. And all the criticism about a plan I mean. That have to go -- -- and the real question has to be. The next debate has to vote on the president what do -- -- -- why should we think it's going to be any different attacks warriors. -- I do you know me the first couple of but times he he didn't answer and he had no facts at his disposal -- began to realize that. That nothing was gonna change that this which is going to be a slaughter for -- for the next hour and fifteen minutes or whatever once that he did he had no preparation but again. Mean for the presently and if -- work every day wherever you work. You should need to prepare yourself that much to discuss your job should you. Write. That off the -- your head about what should go. Correct you know I think -- an incumbent president who. If you're doing why you're so there was president should've been dealing with these issues directly. And sit out. A depth and knowledge that he did not show last night there Romney really did that he understood. What can be done for our economy has -- his answer on that that was so strong what you would do this president. If he comes back. What -- he came back with these -- or regional like remember remember the 2008 he was for obamacare because. His mother couldn't get a couldn't get some kind of procedure and killed from an insurance company and of course that turned out to be a total lie you know and so so now last night. Many -- were brought up the out of nowhere he brings up this teacher with 42 kids in the textbooks or ten years -- I mean that was there was just nothing -- They're really wanted to know are seen to what he had to say you rambled on. All of -- top -- -- one point the governor said well let me just right now what the president thank you just talked about four different topics I'll address each one. And boy he did it is very. Nor or they they said to after the -- keep on the clock said that the Obama still end up with four more minutes than. Totally wasted everybody's time with that I was at those extra four minutes because it was nothing there was nothing going on. He just who literally just this -- just a sour look at stake. He shouldn't he know there or Barack Obama well enough to know that he was capable of turning in a dog performance. It still a -- of all the people of the world we believe we should have known it. I think presidents. Are very much underestimated. Governor Romney. And but we also saw it is what we know it says he's the president does not -- -- -- The governor was really -- currency last night. And obviously he has such and doesn't of the facts and a vision for what he wants to do it. And you know try to try to be on its feet the president and then there's a teleprompter there is now a speech to yes. Yeah I heard that there was in the spin room for the reporters the there were seventeen Romney people in the army and they were they were eager to go win but the the only for a Obama people I don't. Tell you huge difference that we had that they're Romney people like I was one of those in the center of the surrogate governor Romney and like I said we had. Publicist senators. You know. Former cabinet officials said. Haven't we had a really strong group of people you know it and there really wasn't as many. President Obama people there you kind of surprising in and a number people commented on it. -- -- that was at at most there was four in the spend Roman three ran away pretty quickly and I guess after he did his interviews axle -- drifted back there and he was. He was sort of taken the taken the bullets are the questions when every wanna say hi all by himself you know no one. That was what it -- -- is -- any influence not really the president's surrogates there last night and the governor really had a lot of strong supporters there who were. Of course sanctions it was very clear that he wanted to date and but most importantly very clear who has the vision for our country. Well what the what do you what do you make of that poll of a couple of days ago showing Obama had fifteen points in New Hampshire. I don't buy it. I don't think that I I just don't buy that pull it all you can't have Obama had sixteen points at the decorations men. You don't have the gubernatorial race the acting -- it does not make any sense to me. And it doesn't make sense even in light of all the other all the literature I think it's a liar and I did not put any credence and. By the way did you see John Kerry last night he did a splendid job preparing Obama did -- for up for the debates. How was he would see him there was he -- There by the -- Rob Portman who prepared it my colleague. Senator from Ohio brake guys Smart guys UN barrel it he helped prepare governor Romney I didn't see -- anywhere. I don't think you'll see him before that after the next debate. After I mean I can't I thought that was a mistake to have Kerry and there any anyway you know I mean what does Kerry know about Mitt Romney Kerry Kerry doesn't hang out at the state housing couldn't. He couldn't pick mostly couldn't pick the speaker of the house -- the bottom line up you know and not like I don't know why they picked -- but I'm glad they did concede obviously and get the job done. I mean I was a little surprised that -- that you. It's so obviously more -- all it is yeah the total domestic debates. -- -- you want take a couple of questions of policy or just or just that we're just having a good time don't you feel great today Kelly. I am so. Exuberance today I woke up. Really early this morning and I just incredibly happy. And you know what we saw last night is as strong effective leader. Why didn't he mention the bush tax cuts which are -- are set to expire. You mentioned the bush tax cuts when he signed off on him two years ago. They had full charge of the outs in the senate for. Remember that they did anything that they wanted to do they Kennedy's seat -- -- at the time or you blow to our economy. And what with the governor says right on let's and we anti corporate tax rate in the oil we want to be competitive surely in the book -- we better lower that rate that we need -- jobs here.
