And you had a controversial president that divided country a lot of anxiety about America's future's so the conditions of that film aren't similar to the conditions now. Except we have a democratic president. What's at 26 to people about what -- they have -- crisis. Sixteen. It's a dock you drama it's a film about who Obama really is and has new information about them. It tells about his life how he became the man years. And really be Obama's story is almost on dimensions of Greek drama. What I mean is here's a kid abandoned by his dad at birth abandoned by his mom at the age of ten. -- -- and almost like an Odyssey unified and his father and find himself. So that's a narrative element of the film and I think that's part of what people find so fascinating it would be an interesting story about anyone except it happens to be about the guy. Are you dissatisfied with him I mean I know we got it slightly right here but there are you dissatisfied with the -- -- -- publicity you've gotten from the mainstream media. Well it's certainly true that the left and the White House are trying to ignore the film and hope it goes away. I mean if you -- to watch MSNBC for example you see are commercials running occasionally but you have no idea there was such a film even though it is that a runaway success it's competing with the Bourne film and the Meryl Streep film you've made what seven million bucks last weekend he had an and we're making a million dollars a day this goes over elements action the I think it will surpass Al Gore's film as the second most successful documentary of all time. The only film the chase right now is Michael Moore's Fahrenheit 9/11. So it. So I wanted I asked to let it. We are our brother's keeper right out of the Bible. But here is his brother Wright and in the film I ask George Obama whats Obama gonna keep you. And George -- tersely says the last can -- with -- So the -- talking about him a few days ago after the film. And at Georgia as a two year old kid and the guy I was sick and needed -- he was not a chest infection and -- -- hospital and -- -- it can I get some money can help. I was a little skeptical I'm like Georgia you really at the hospital and the phone over than -- I -- -- -- but you know I noticed confirmed yet I believed I was sick and that's -- -- listen I'll send -- a thousand bucks. But before I hang up I got to ask you one question why me. Right isn't there somebody else you can call -- like someone at sixteenth and again -- -- and George does now he goes to -- you're like a brother to me. So think about that and -- here's George he's calling a conservative. Columnist and writer and now filmmaker I guess the cause. Is. Is affluent influential brother in the White House won't help them when this kid needs health care and stick. What does that tell you about a publishing hope here is that -- -- if you. For 300. The fair share is the centerpiece of the whole Obama campaign that's what the democratic convention's going to be about so what I want -- is like where's George Obama's there's there. It's the film -- -- stuff like this you know it's it's telling episodes that go beyond the public policy debate and just you well you know Obama is a little bit of a different guy that you thought. And also there's an the ideological compass that that is not really been revealed. It's first start living on the me he lived on the mainland United States -- it was the right right it was a -- but he grew up in Hawaii and then he went to Indonesia for employers that you visit Pakistan made several trips to Africa over the course -- -- young adult life. Look I I think that is where that is Barack Obama's senior I think if you watch our movie and see George Obama you'll see some eerie similarities due to to President Obama may talk the same way they look. They physical similarities as well so yeah I don't buy that theory. But I think the real issue is not you know Obama's parentage it's really gets his ideas. Which what does that mean if the USC. -- -- the movie. Right what's what's it would be the most astounding thing. The most that astounding thing in the movie is you'll see Obama in a sense goading his father's grave. And and come to terms with his father by saying I don't wanna be like you as a man. But I want your dreams I want to take your ideology. And I want to make your dreams my dreams that's the meaning of Obama's. The tight -- -- autobiographies dreams from my product that's where he gets it. So Obama is in the sense almost.
