Why Paul Ryan is the best VP choice and how he'll guarantee a win for Romney

I think it's going to appeal to independents. And moderates to conservative Democrats. It is a bold pick. For dates. Here in Washington we were hearing whispers. That Romney had a very short list. In his heart of hearts he wanted to go with Tim Pawlenty. Tim Pawlenty and he our friends. Pawlenty is a strong mature governor. Somebody that is a safe pick. Somebody in many ways who is a Romney Cologne and establishment Republican. However. Does. Romney was being hit in the polls. Day after day after day and Obama and now starting to widen his small lead. With dirty Harry Reid. Coming on the senate floor and viciously smearing Romney -- somebody who's a criminal any tax cheat. We've -- out coming out from priorities USA. Led by a White House staffer with close intimate ties to the Obama inner circle. I essentially accusing Romney of having killed a man's wife. Because he was laid off and she eventually got cancer and he didn't have the health insurance that they care of his wife. So they called him a murderer they call them a criminal they called -- a tax cheat. They threw mud after mud after mud hoping that it would stick. Romney looking to change the conversation. Looking to change in essence. The whole cycle of this election. And elevated from a small. Dirty campaign. Maybe did dirty just campaign in modern American history. Now once that elevated to -- big election that will be fought. On big issues. And my friends. What is the big issue of our time what is the central issue of our time. Is this. Where there we will become like Greeks. Are we now going to -- gold down the road that Obama and his Chicago political gangsters have put us on. In which with TARP crushing deficits are crushing debt are out of control entitlement government programs. Massive permanent high unemployment. Are we going to become Europe and Greece. We all this great country. Become a bankrupt second rate country. Or will it be the America that you and I grew up in. We will traditional America rice from the ashes again. And for years on Capitol Hill. And I'm being very candid now. People often ask me you cover politics -- you know people on both parties. Do you know any honest politicians I honestly say to them. Or fame hungry and frankly stupid I'll be very candid with you you have no idea how stupid literally out intellectually vacuous. Many politicians are. But there are a handful. That are not changed genuine patriots. That are not just genuinely men and women of principal and character. But they actually are brilliant people who deeply care about this country and I'm telling you. That Paul Ryan is desk clean as the driven snow. This man has no skeletons in his closet he is a very devout Catholic. He's a sincere family man. He is a sincere conservative. He loves Wisconsin. He loves his hometown he loves the midwest and he loves this country. And for years. Beginning at the end of the bush administration and continuing under Obama. He has been pounding that table warning. That we are headed off a financial and economic cliff. We are going broke. These trillion dollar deficits. These massive tax hikes. This huge inflation. This economic collapse that we're about to face. There is a reckoning -- You cannot be spending this kind of money. In this kind of a power mad drunken orgy to buy votes as Obama has been doing for the last three and a half years. Without -- eventually. Having to pay the piper. I eventually. The bill comes to do. And Paul Ryan has been saying. If we don't reform Medicare. If we don't reform Medicaid. If we don't reform welfare. If we don't start cutting spending. And more than dot. If we don't unleashed a private sector and free enterprise system in America to do what it's always done. Which is to generate jobs and create the most prosperous successful country in the history of the world we're gonna be like Europe. We're living beyond our means. On the verge of collapse. Are we going to become the united states of Argentina. He embodies. A different world. A different path being different vision. -- -- -- Spending restraint. And I look at these beautiful family and I look at his resume and his experience and his years in congress. And more than that I look at his patriotism. And I see here is a man. An easy up and coming emerging leader. Of the Republican party. Of the conservative movement and of middle America. And here was Paul Ryan. In his own words. Saying what this election is about.
