Are literally throwing everything up the wall against Mitt Romney. Now you have dirty Harry Reid going on the senate floor and this is the key point. Because when you go on the senate floor you have certain privileges and protections. That are not extended to you once you get out of that chamber. So he goes on the senate floor. -- all of the privileges that come without and he says I think he's got a guy -- source an anonymous source anymore we overlay. Are an investor and Bain Capital says you know what the word out on the street. Mitt Romney didn't pay taxes. So now Harry Reid is essentially engaging in liberal McCarthyism. Key ashamed that Mitt Romney. Is -- criminal we have no evidence. We know collaboration. It's an utterly baseless charge it's a complete smear and then -- this followed up. By -- ad by priorities USA. Won by Bill Burton a former top White House staffer. We deep ties to the Oval Office. Where now he's not just the criminal but according to Bill Burton and that he's a murderer now why -- -- memo Romney a murderer. Because in 2001. When Bain Capital took over GSP steel. They realize that well it can make this thing there are profitable and efficient and turn it around. We're gonna have to shed some plants and they called dollar plant in Kansas City or Joseph -- -- walked his jaw and locked themselves. The timeline on this thing is amazing this -- trying to tell the story. As if Mitt Romney was somehow responsible for the death of soft ex wife. Well and then. In the -- not telling you is -- that she had a job. And for two years after soft it was a laid off. She was still -- primary health insurance but are actually getting a primary health insurance from her draw until you wouldn't let go. For work related injuries now fast forward a couple more years and in 2005. She had cancer and government that she died of cancer. So essentially what they're claiming is that during -- Mitt Romney because he's not god. Then he should have foreseeing in in the mind I think you're seeing in the Olympics. Know I have to go back to being I have to -- mechanical dependency plan won't hold it why because you don't topic is gonna get laid off. And then you'll probably get laid off. His wife for years we're gonna get cancer and then when she gets cancer according to don't follow that she's not gonna happen health insurance to probably take care over. -- your standard. And UC EO and president. Anybody that lays off any employee. If their spouse should get year old several years -- decade later and all right well then that's see your response president is responsible. These these these pernicious -- Cannot exactly -- here since when is it the responsibility of an employer to offer you health care health insurance plan you could you go to -- for a company that does not for health insurance. And it's not their responsibility your health that's your responsibility it's simply a benefit. That some companies. Choose to offer and there is a financial incentive in the tax code for doing it. Was responsible for the death of -- -- wife. I mean those fact checks presuppose that that's exactly we're trying to do and that's not the point they had the point of the ad. This is tell the story of the impact than Ronnie had on the lives of thousands of people to. Do you really want people believing you're not trying to link in any way even just subtly or not subtly. -- that there are some linkage between. Mitt Romney being cap at all. Business decisions he made and this woman's death Paterson who do you would defy logic to do so. He would defy life so this is the emperor has no clothes now Jeff in real life. It's it's I think it's orwellian I mean really this is this the world we're talking fantasyland this comedians serve real. And would commute more shelling. Is it but it's not just a lot. We may have to -- some people off to turn this thing around and make it profitable that's what Mitt Romney did -- -- turnaround specialist. Now he was quite successful he was able to save many companies in fact many companies and a growing in -- hundreds of thousands of jobs some companies do have to close down. She just peace deal what's going bankrupt. Shoulder socket was losing his job any health benefits and I was gonna happen. You only question -- it could other branches of GS peace deal be shaped. Well the other way the other question was how soon was it gonna go under so how many more weeks of employment TD yet because Bain Capital came in and bought the company. ADP and how many more years of life to the company yet. -- is that not the point. And so Bain Capital has been doing this which is why frankly even Bill Clinton said. -- final private equity everybody knows what I I got guys on Wall Street honestly there's not even Romney's supporters and get deep down -- -- look I'm telling you. Bain Capital where the fights are private equity firm it was a class that they were fantastic had a great record. Now -- only -- that Romney responsible for the shot. That shows probably didn't get a draw. He obviously isn't Jeff facility like you said it's character assassination but it's all so trying to get the media. Making noise is about irrelevant things instead of allowing there to be a focus on the economy. The president needs everybody not paying attention how bad things are. Question is will that story line about the smear will people say and what will -- launch will people start to understand. That they've never seen in their lifetimes. He is not going after Harry Reid to -- and a very aggressive forceful way he's not providing a lot of these charges effectively. And the problem is that and it's an open secret in Washington. Mitt Romney is surrounded by what they called the Boston voice. These are people have been lifelong advisors to him to go all the way back even to before when he was governor. They're nice people they're very Smart Eric Armstrong is a very Smart man he's out of the lead to an out of his depth. What works in Massachusetts. Doesn't work when you have to go into the gutter -- these gangsters from Chicago. And that's why I have been emerging now about the last three weeks. This conference Mitt Romney to clean house he's got to get rid of some of these senior -- campaign advisors starting with Eric Armstrong. Because it's crunch -- does not know how to go ahead go ahead with David Axelrod. And if they don't start responding to these charges. Forcefully. Boldly and aggressively. Romney's major dive to depths of 8000 political cuts this is bleeding him you have eight. President right now. Who is presiding over 8% unemployment. That it didn't care for nearly 42 months. Record deficits. We are now the most indebted nation in history. We have more people want food stamps then ever before 800 million Americans are now getting some form of welfare check. All welfare benefit. The country's sinking like a strong Obama has been one of the greatest failures in history. And yet Romney he's still running neck and neck and some key swing states like Wisconsin. Virginia he's in fact losing. So obviously these attacks are -- loophole upon Romney. And unless you start fighting back and challenging these attacks. And non in the way that he's been doing great though -- put up or shut up know what he should come out and show you this. I'll tell you what I'll tell you yours if you show -- mine Mr. President wow that's some people's attention well look. I'll show you my tax returns if Obama shows -- -- college transcripts and college records. And then -- no one -- fall if Obama had low grade when he was in university if I believe he did. We're gonna find out if he was the beneficiary of affirmative action and I believe he was. And were gonna find out whether he received warnings do we -- And this way you'll unveil him for the fraud and con man that he is and I'll tell you from these said that. The issue of tax returns -- disappears so about the ridiculous. Jeff. Trip -- is there anything else that comes to mind for example the money didn't we hear that. Mitt Romney's money situation is different than the presence does the president didn't have primary opposition so he's got a primary budget. Still sitting there to spend -- -- got to wait until the convention. When his general election budget freeze up is there any abilities to that in your mind. I mean you go to war chest right now and what. They're making a calculation there calculation is that the American people are only really tuning into this election after Labor Day. This is the traditional conventional wisdom. I think they're wrong it's whatever function is telling everybody -- don't worry about it nobody's paying attention right now it's summer vacation people are still barbecuing. Are out there out there failing to walk to the beach. -- come September 1 after Labor Day when the kids go back to school then everybody's gonna start paying attention. I think Obama has played this right. June July and August key is defining his opponent and that's why they're going after him and the narrative is very simple. That Romney does not have the character. To be president of the United States that you just can't trust him he doesn't have the decency. To be president and really help you what my new apartment. They know that everybody has seen the movie Wall Street. Well respond directly to Michael Douglas won an award for her and essentially what they're saying it's Romney is Gordon -- got Mitt Romney right -- and. Just somebody who is out there are magic just killing for money doesn't. Yup but DIA you know I think there's. I mean I have the concern over what you're attacking debt. And I I don't understand why the Romney campaign has chosen to do this rope a dope routine. Hoping the president wore himself out over this period of time and then and a face an onslaught in the fall. Because you never wanna be behind ended its way it's worked into the extent. That the president's been picked up a few points and Mitt Romney is reputation. Has been damaged a bit by the ad campaign but the calculation never is convey that nevertheless is convincing to me. That the combination. I mean that really the underpinning of of this theory is. That the economy ultimately will be what -- people vote on in the economy is not getting. Better and now by the way we are gas prices heading back towards four dollars I mean really this -- it hit it on paper it's an impossible reelection bid. From the Obama campaign. And is so I think the Romney people are saying everything is stacked so much on our side we're just gonna pack away the money spend this period. Raising unprecedented. Amounts of money and be prepared to spend. A 100000200. All million dollars more then the president during the last couple months -- does that hold no water with you. Mean that's their strategy. That's their plan you've articulated very well taught my concern and I think most people already made up their mind. And for example the 1930s. Franken Roosevelt did not solve the Great Depression in fact they got worse under Roosevelt. And he kept winning won reelection after another. And the Roosevelt did he just destroyed his opponent. And that's exactly what Barack Obama is doing so he had to Obama's done a horrible job. -- in the public mind they're gonna say well if Mitt Romney really going to be that much better -- I really trust Mitt Romney. Well that's certainly what people are saying right now they're downloading. Whether Mitt Romney would do any better on the economy in the in the present some hopefuls are showing Murrow Romney behind the president on the economy which is just stunning. Well and that's because they keep going after his record as saying yeah keep throwing out these charges so that's why my argument is. -- you've got to take the gloves off now you're look. You're you're an overall you're -- street brawl this -- an all time for the queen of -- very you'll hear you gonna go after this guy. -- did not Massachusetts. You're not going up against Ted Kennedy. You're not running you know this should not even Elizabeth Warren chief foreign you're not going up against cheap one. You're going up against Rahm Emmanuel. David Axelrod. David applause. And the president of the United States and these guys are playing for keeps this is Obama as a legacy. This is the volume transforming America into a socialist European entitlement states. That's why he's running his reelection that's why people understand if they mean more than the president realize. But even if he wins. Still have a fractured country. 50% of the country will he -- bill despite them still have no governing mandate. He doesn't care obamacare kicks in and 2014. Once obamacare kicks then you have a cradle to grave welfare state she had achieved what he wanted to achieve. His signature domestic achievement will become so interwoven into American society you can't repeal it tells this election is about.
