And I say no I can't tour now but I've got to get our guy just wanna celebrate that company. I'm actually died. I'd send this to my wife five cents from now on whenever we wanna go out. -- -- -- You're going to college seamless -- really touched by Harman insecure. And a candlelight dinner chick -- tonight -- maddening but about it my wife dropped bring your own candle and you will obviously. So -- but you saw the movie right you saw a dark night. I did I saw on Sunday I thought it was a magnificent film I thought it was the best of the three Dark Knight movie. The character played by vein the what does he really I mean that was extremely well done. I it was -- I thought the script was superb I thought the acting was superb. I don't wanna give away the ending but there are a couple of twists at the end. They are absolute mind benders. Is this phenomenal movie I recommend everybody go out and see it. And you know to me what I just fine so sad. Is that now when you think about Dark -- writers are always gonna think about that massacre and a war. But really it is a superb movie. And part of what I love about the comic book escalation to read them growing up I love about this movie it is a moral clarity. Is good vs evil. It is this sense that there is -- right in the wrong in the world. Here you have a character like about a man who's been on this thing -- you know he's just fabulously wealthy that Bruce -- And yeah he's willing to put aside all the comforts of luxury. All NBA the comforts of well. To sacrifice himself for the love of his city and to confront evil mad men. And that can mean that was always the essence of America I was individualism. It was patriotism. It was a sense of love of country love of community. So there is context in this bad man movie. That. Provides clarity about what's good and what's evil and whether violence is appropriate as we've been talking about violence in movies in general. And whether there's something you know or reflection of moral decay. With what Hollywood is putting out in the some sense that the extreme violence -- violence has become two dimensional that's about the sensation of killing. Rather than when you go back suing god father type movie in this context there's. There's values that are being pursued there's human failure and there's the ugliness of violence in the damage that it does being portrayed do you feel. That that conversation we had applies to the Dark -- are you saying that it's got this story line around them may exceed the violence valuable. Lot of violence is -- valuable okay my companion and this city this is a lot of transfers silenced. We're dynamo by Hollywood standards now and I think that's the thing we've become so. I think desensitized. To the violence and ourselves only to very violent film there's no getting around that fact. I generally think most of the products put up by Hollywood. Frankly garbage I think very bad for our children. I think it's a form of a mental pornography. It is day pornography of violence and pornography of. Dash K so there we are wide does that description not applied to the Dark -- Maybe my romantic sense about a -- comic book having admired about man when I was growing up. I think to me look there is a superhero qualities to all of it so there is some sort of moral clarity and essentially you have these. Evil people that must be stopped -- cape crusader. Who dedicates himself to stopping evil people. -- could look like compared to some of the previous bout man so I used to watch especially the I as a kid growing up that TV series looking to TV series was much better without -- west. But we're talking now about calling them and she basically you can you know world war -- reality go to war the army UH yeah. Some like you're basically got cutting them slack because it's a great movie. And so your behavior -- what the flow on the violence. I mean I don't normally watch violent film side the only don't want -- into the comic book movies that have any violence and in my stopped watching most Hollywood movies. Well I'll give you a perfect example. There is any movie that I saw last week also one of the cable channel that I have. I saw it in the feeder in the original French from that site now with these with the subtitles. It was a blockbuster in France I recommend everybody going see you can keep amount of subtitles. It is one of the most magnificent films I've ever seen it called guard demand. And I do the true story of monks in the Algerian civil war in the 1990s. When the radical jihadist were really taking hold of Algeria. And they were fighting these secular government. In Algiers the capital and these monks are trapped in that country. And they can in fact lead. But because they are so be loved by the villagers of where they live. They decide to stay for the good of the people of Algeria for the good of the community and because they feel they have permission to fulfill. There are quite like -- purpose of serving others. Many of them would end up being martyrs for the church. But a couple escaped. And so you get an insider's view of what it's like to be a question mark literally -- devoted to teach the prince of peace. Surrounded by Islamic Jihad. It is -- movie it is a heart warming movie. If you think profiled -- movie. In fact very little violence all the all the attention of potential violence. Cut through the whole movie Hollywood does not make films like that anymore. Nor do they kind of -- I love. But you know I have a common on -- beloved comic books like and to see a lot of comic book movies. But overall look when you look at about that when you look at the avengers which are also thought it was a great fell. Well you're dealing with incredible Hulk -- dealing with full order dealing with Iron Man you know what sheer fantasy. Like people ball fly around in the strike. What we're getting from Hollywood it's something else. You get to glamorize nation of criminalists. You get to grammar right creation of a substance. You get for example the Quentin Tarantino movies I mean it's a bloodbath. When you look at it Quentin Tarantino movie what is it but literally can you get to a thousand people dead by the end of the movie. So we do arms being chopped off its legs being chopped off the pond being chopped off its people getting shot in the -- How can we get bigger and tortured human body decided to fire that -- get the blood lust of the audience. Do you put that in combination with video tips in combination with television. In combination with that our celebrity culture. We're -- everybody gets a reality TV show it's unbelievable. So if let's -- part Feinberg who wants to be really famous. All -- Feinberg has to do something extremely outrageous. If -- Feinberg want to take a gun and shoot up WRKO. Pod Feinberg is now going to be everywhere across America. And then an iPod Feinberg want to go make a spectacle himself in court. And he's gonna be covered by the cable news networks so we are great culture obsessed with fame. Obsessed with celebrity. And it doesn't matter what you do you have to do something positive in fact the more negative you behave. This man is a fascist. This man has no sense of tolerance. If this is the owner of a private company. And for the mayor of Boston to say that he doesn't have a right to express his opinion. Where he's actually number you give an interview to to the Baptist press. And of course everybody knows chick filet is a Christian organization it's for example why they're called on Sunday it's -- facade that. I frankly respect them for that. Our goal that should put an -- all candor. In all seriousness and -- -- every day but I do go to chick -- it's wonderful food it's very clean it's well done. Are -- the personnel extremely friendly I talk with a lot of them menu Democrat should not at all but many of them are Christians. It's a beautiful family atmosphere. And frankly thought I'd wanna put race into this but I have to be candid about it. It's all these liberals coming out of the blue. Say that they're all coming out and saying Falwell understood under under segregation. Certain people couldn't get to lunch counter certain people were denied their civil liberties. Gays are being denied their civil liberties how -- will you keep talking about. -- fully that I go to. Many in my African American neighbors could well watcher kids played football we all go together to the chick -- it's a beautiful atmosphere. And for this man to them come out. And then say. That. -- check the late president is wrong. Because she believes that marriage is according to the biblical definition of marriage between a man and a man and a woman. Look I think she's the head of a chief executives he's to have a competent. He was asked by the press what do you think about gay marriage he said I believe it's wrong I believe marriage should be between a man and a woman. Now number one the key going into this. Sort thousands of years in every culture in every society under almost every major religion. Marriage has been defined as between a man and a woman there -- -- that way for almost all time in every area. In every area in every society in every culture absolutely ashamed -- how radical. And suddenly now because of his personal opinions on gay marriage the mayor of Boston comes out and says. Well -- is not welcome in Boston. Well the last time I checked. Where he can decide what people can think what they kept saying what they can say what they can't say this man had a right to express his opinion. Now if they discriminate against gays in terms of customers. If they say you can really we don't serve games or gays can only get this part of account dramatic visit part of the counter. That's something else. But look if they -- family and -- question. Game and that's. Now if you don't like. That chief executive's position on gay marriage don't -- eat -- chick -- But he's got a right to express his opinions. And for the Mayor Menino would have come out and demonize chick -- -- -- feeling great -- himself. With the liberal elites. I don't often end up Harvard and of Massachusetts. Can you get that first of all he's not doing his draw his job is to look after Boston the last time I checked I'll be very candid thoughts.
