Somebody else make payroll every week to figure out words don't. I'm working a little bill while we build this. Why didn't. We obviously -- Well that's all well said it joining us now is the star of that commercial Jack Gilchrist welcome to WR hale. So -- -- been out there in the limelight for a couple of days houses go on. Well I didn't get denim it's done yesterday until it. Been a lot of feedback. Maybe a couple hundred responses. The all on the majority quite positive. I'd say at least so be what I put -- The negative responses. Our. Just saying that. You know a bit of the governor and the Republicans. Distorted what the president said in Europe -- and soccer and the other half of just downright dumb emotionally ambitious in quite a few. Chose to. Put generations had a -- well but. Oh really wow yeah I don't care if it. Tell us about your business. We're we're looking metal fabrication. And machining facility in Hudson I am sure we're not a sheet metal shop we. We do bigger stuff than that done and we service many industries. Throughout the country. Architectural medals. Paper pulp food processing. Concrete mall just. There's billions of things we do and we have no product we just provide. On the labor and equipment processes. You services to those who need them. And how -- a -- been a business. It went dead started in 1975. And I came in on January 2 said the incidents. What's your political. -- -- For the unusual can think. -- it's very face yes but I mean in terms where you come from in your life. It would you have anticipated the your activism would do lead you to be front -- -- -- -- behind the scenes guy reminds is business. I'm very much behind the scenes so I'm I'm mom I'm not a Republican and I'm a registered independent I'll tell -- -- I'm enough -- a fiscal conservative social moderate. So I -- I don't agree -- everything anybody. Because there -- wanted to say -- but. No I'm -- mom. Basically a political -- I gotta put myself in them manage selling can't take it anymore category and I think history and -- experiment is about to not -- used to -- What is it dear -- about. I I truly. Kids stay in their way to cut the plate and in the way that. Small businesses businesspeople successful people -- demonized serve. For being successful on that we should pay more in other people shouldn't pay any thing and and this new proposal the president on this -- new proposal about only taxes not to when percent of the top well. That most is less than you know most small businesses are -- -- bill sees whatever in the province best route to the personal. Tax returns and I mean if if that wasn't so I I wouldn't be in this category if I had a C corporation I wouldn't be. In net -- percent to I don't make that kind of money -- So we EU you look rich. Because oil profits from your company flow through your personal tax returns but you do what with the bulk of that money. I mean is it not yours are you saying that money goes back into the business. Stay in the business and not taking -- that you are you do you take payroll. It take an extra check like a payroll withholding only take cover the taxes that you're gonna have to. Pay on a personal basis. So it looks like I make a big and comer bigger income that's not my money its accompanying at -- stage I don't. Yeah I regularly do I would still don't know I would assume before taking money so we say let's go to get jacked Gilchrist. And take some more money away from him because he's a bad guy he makes too much. And this so you say we take another hundred grand away from you how does that impact your business. All hundred -- so it's a hundred dream and it's not a hundred green -- 200 grand plus my tax bracket right. Are they did it it's more than happened let it affect my business I agree a lot of money to me. It's a percentage point of my sales. What am I gonna -- I'm not gonna I'm certainly not been done a great don't have to reinvest in -- new equipment or update equipment and trying to keep up with the competition to try and create a new opportunity for me and that is certainly equates to a -- -- It's I don't wanna I don't want all the players but it it's a reality and in -- you know processes need men to drive those process. You vote for Obama in no way. You know. -- -- -- I don't. You know I was really tempted to vote for a guy than -- Illinois State Senate voted present every time the United States senate -- two years voted straight party line. -- never done anything has even published an article that somehow got to be a whatever it was -- the other law review I just don't yet know. No -- not qualify what an unqualified Sarah Palin on her honor record it was more qualified and he was. Gilchrist is a great person we appreciate his time on this I love this ad. And if I were Romney I would flood the airwaves. With this stuff have you gotten -- have you got a lot of nice ones like that -- -- getting. Oh no I'm telling yet if it if I got 200. Between emailed link people calling up here crying. Into the you know remember and what they're dead went through the grandfather. -- went through some that he knows I'm getting. -- -- -- Then then not this little what what one liners and stuff. This this people out there outpouring not concerts it's so I'm actually quite -- and I'm a little odd time well it's it's it's -- it's it's very emotional. Well they will come down quickly Soviet you know. My my five seconds is just. Country gave your eyes on the Verizon but it's a great thing because the story is so real so when you see he had. And you see you guys in the -- It's says it's very immediate and visceral you know everybody can connect that's why you're getting those kinds of phone calls and emails because you know there are the reason they're so emotional. Is because people relate to the struggle if it's not their struggle it was their fathers in the mother's struggle. The struggles of immigrants struggles of hard workers and hear the president. Stand up and say. That he he thinks it's kind of funny. That people think it says that they work so hard that they're unique that they work hard they deserve money for that then that they. Deserve to be affluent because they're Smart they put their ingenuity to work its offensive because we know America is built. On the backs of people like you were willing to -- the risk and people haven't owned a business like Barack Obama. And led an organization like Barack Obama they don't understand. That it. Every time your coming around to another payroll period. For a mortgage payment or financing payment you're looking at the checks coming in and you're Warner about -- your obligations are. And whether those things are gonna match up. That's true and you know happen you know I don't know about you are I don't know what other guys like me but. I'm great -- that night sleep and. Your -- -- no way that the pressure. There what is the pressure exactly. It's there's the pressure arena payroll I mean who won't quit down the 37 employees -- That's still 37 families and we do companies donate ten things I mean the kids come in the cousins come. The Brothers and sisters I know. I know these I think I'm definitely my simplest. So you're saying that -- -- of metal fabricating company is a family it is a community and that community depends on you. And you're the guy US to make sure it all works and nobody else knows what that's like except you. So that's true and so I think is somewhat of an overstatement I mean and we picked -- it. I'm no better than the guy beside me I mean in the guys on the flaw in -- -- college educated at -- time college degrees here. Outside of -- better it's about don't know what your carry around in your shoulders. Yeah I don't know that's true -- surely in the buck stops here norm not only a one -- my opposites always open -- I don't run from anything and I don't boy I can't complain I don't blame anybody -- my situation I chose to be here and I'm still here and we chose to stay here. I don't yet nobody just day I bring it up simply to demonstrate how galling it must be to hear president mark the notion. That -- people think they deserve to make some money when they take risk. When they put their capital risk you know as a lot of people who could go to -- but they decide they wanna start a business instead. And there's a lot of the market around saying what the hell was wrong with many. That I wanted to start a business. And I think it's insulting them the president talked this way that's all. Where I was asking what's that tipping point for eternity -- to argue fairness on taxes one half of the population is paying zero federal income taxes. I I have to ask what do you think is fair if this isn't fair. It is 70% 80% 90% of the population pay no taxes this demonization. Of the rich is evil. There is evil and dangerous it's -- kind of thing that liberals would normally be walking around saying. That is dangerous. That reminds us of one of the great criminals of world history who sawed difficult economic times. And looks very specific class of people he could single out and blame so that everybody could be free of responsibility for the fact that they were struggling. So they -- and what blame somebody else. Well that the thing about is is and that's exactly right again that's something -- should be closed until. Obama assembly. Just to highlight the whole situation of exactly what you just said -- so whereas the breaking point we know where does that go armed did the basics essentially.
