Because Megan is conservative. And hard nosed and you're sort this would be Hollywood type to have that right. Well I would say I'm more wind speed and making it hard nosed. Okay and you are co existing in in some kind of recreational vehicle yet. Smaller the net does that free see the writing of the -- is that part of the promotional tour -- Although that went -- I mean that what that was the writing of the book was traveling from coast to coast in this stinky RV. Going from state to state. Per month. Hilarity and your own clarity did you find yourself coming together and finding that in truth once you've got outside of rhetoric. And cliched thinking you were actually closer together or did it go in the other direction. We found that we had a lot in -- I mean that there that we share a lot of values we we care about the same things. We sometimes disagree about policy and disagree about. We had big disagreements about healthcare and big disagreements about. The war in Iraq. But you know there's a lot that we agreed on we agreed on drunken karaoke for example that. Your four against we were -- -- okay. Now let's talk big issues because Supreme Court this week is weighing in waiting yesterday on immigration in Arizona State you know a lot about -- And it's going to weigh in on health care what he'll learn. From the people you're talking to the gave you a different perspective perhaps on the Arizona immigration law. Well as somebody who doesn't experience. Immigration as a sort of dated gay issue. It was fascinating for me to go to Arizona and speak with a -- there. Who. Is and -- -- Jackie from the border firing. -- -- -- -- -- -- But what they deal with people crossing and they deal with the the very real issues that that races and it's it's it's a very it's a very pertinent David the issue prevents so it was interesting to see it from their point of view. And having never having grown up in New Jersey and never experienced that it gave me it gave me more sympathy. Towards. Arizonans and and the law that they -- I don't agree with that didn't agree with him by the Supreme Court basically overturned it. But I certainly have sympathy for four for them. Making your take on Arizona did did you -- traveling in your home state -- you'll learn anything. A little bit learned anything definitely knew because they were. He was my friend my Stanley -- in Arizona side. You know -- beat -- seven Ian -- -- obviously hugely controversial. And I disagreed -- A lot of it and I thought that it was executed. Unbelievable poorly in there in the mainstream media and the rest of the country. And I think Arizona and get a bad -- but we're literally on the front lines and on the border and immigration is -- real issue and it's not just about. You know quote unquote you know illegals that are Mexican and driving -- never. The drug war is adding absolutely ridiculous level is literally drugs coming in and out of Phoenix all the time in areas where I grew up close -- And you know I just think it's a real issues that people try and simplify. And fortunately I just don't think there's and I had the best spokes people I don't think that Joseph Arpaio is doing. And have a good job at all prior for Arizona out with a lot but it's. It's not as easy as writing in a lot of that staff has you know complicated. I I think that is a bit -- I mean. I don't know that racial profile hacking not taking did you consider racial profiling. -- really -- profiling would be -- behavior and and the Supreme Court said yesterday that has a minute chance to see if that behaviors as a result of this law. Recipient being the original intent -- the -- was basically to -- Law enforcement the ability to stop. And and and and ask for citizenship papers to people they suspected of being illegal and into record basically through that aspect of the -- out. No that's the one they kept in place because they said they you can do when you're doing a stop. Or when you're otherwise encountering people if they're suspicious you -- them to prove there. And their right to be here and that's the one they left in place but they you know they seem dubious about a while they were living in a place. So there's us Supreme Court ruling coming down Thursday on healthcare you guys have a guess on which way that's gonna go. Nine I know get -- and talent. Any preferences which way you wanted to go. You know look I'm not I'm a liberal I'm in favor of it. None I'm in favor of it. Mostly because I think we have to figure out a way to get Americans health insurance and the argument that they're somehow not a there's no commerce there that there's not a market that exists for health insurance and therefore congress can't regulate it seemed sort of asinine to me. But you know I'm no lawyer. Well the commerce clause wasn't intended to give all control over commerce of the federal government it was. Deciding what -- intended to give congress the ability to regulate. Yes in other words I'm selling something to you in Arizona I'm gonna drive it across the country. Somebody has to be in charge of the interactions between the states to oversee them but not to take control of it so that the fight is over. Whether. That permission to be the regulator. Makes a federal government have the right to take over industries and decide everything about the that's really where the commerce clause fight comes into play.
