Tom Finneran announces he is leaving WRKO

I just wanna give people little heads up tough start to Todd -- C about this and just a little announcement by the way this is not a stunt not alone on an April Fool's Day. -- -- -- I'm announcing that my last broadcast on this show is going to be this coming Thursday morning. Just over the past several Desmond chat a little bit -- -- who often -- lots of plans and -- some opportunities which are out there in the real world to make. And perhaps some for the stationed there of interest to me but it's not always compatible to try to serve two masters and try to do. You know full time commitment to certain things when you do -- -- full time commitment to other things we get a very early around -- up. Excuse me and Todd nice they have very -- laid make ensure we're prepared so. Talked to Jason about more broadly what's going on the road ahead and certain freedom of movement is certainly pretty appealing to me at this point we're having a very amicable -- Can I begin broadcasting -- Todd more than five years ago and has been a blast. You know how limited my radio experience of so called was. I had been I guess occasionally when I was in the world of politics and I had done some substitute hosting but that's not the same thing is really. Trying to do what I try to don't try to do -- a certain way and I don't like the lowest common denominator style of talk radio but don't like to listen to the listeners and and prod them as day he as they tried me it's been it's been a lot of fun. Highlights I would certainly say that evening -- you and I spent with Donald Rumsfeld -- -- -- want to that was great fun. I was a ton of -- the audience was great we it was just a great great evening don't remember that from many many moons. System area -- assist the myriad -- -- has kind of a generic. Observation. Point. We do a lot of charitable things around -- targets involved in causes I try to get involved in causes and course the election coverage we get to all of these. Candidates and campaigns have been great great stuff we're in the midst of one now and I'm sure -- continued -- you turn -- excuse me a superb job on it. This morning Todd has a different rhythm. From all the other segments of the day and I don't think this show it's not gonna become the stable that it's become without -- you give patients and you're skilled. As well let's coaxing you know how grateful I am to you guys you make me laugh sometimes you make me cry to tease me about that too. And now most importantly -- -- I try to learn from history I read a lot of history and I certainly learned a lot from our listeners. They're shipped around histories with me and may have been.
