Mitt's Promises

What do wanna start where bill is a good healthy discussion on politics. As usual are going on. And obviously the race is an extraordinary significance and actually pretty close Karl Rove who's been putting on a map. Electoral map. Which if you just look at it superficially looks like got you got Obama has a lock on it but that's not the case. In fact he wrote an opinion piece in the Wall Street Journal. -- dated may 23 so it's pretty recent right yesterday. And concludes this by saying the odds now narrowly favor a Romney win and he points out the road to. But the electoral victory four for Romney without going into the that he -- of that it's more interesting and they talk a little bit about. Some of the politics. And some of the cases that the Democrats are trying to make which interesting is he trying to make this the trying to undercut Romney. And the reason is that the natural architecture this range and actual structure. Is that it's a referendum. On Barack Obama right I mean the man spent four years in office. Well -- by the end of the the campaign. And so we have a right to a value Leo right that's the question but we're better off than we were four years ago. Well they help the Democrats. It's not a particularly pleasant question. Have -- because it's kind of tough to answer. So they're trying to do anything they can't discredit Ron. There's another poll here along those -- today that he's been very successful businessman. And yet they're trying to discredit that try to make it sound like. Thought he was just an evil guy who made profits for stockholders as if some that's not what. Businessmen -- supposed to do closed down all accompanies. Rasmussen survey Monday may 21 was published 44%. She Romney's business past as a reason to vote for him. 33%. She is a reason not to. I find it remarkable that a third of the country and surety and includes a lot of the IQ points. 33%. Think that because he's been successful businessman. That's grounds for voting against him. -- they're trying to make it sound like somehow gained closed down companies that. You know or Obama has an interest in character here. He never was in the private sector -- the first thing about business. Parties trying to make it sound like Romney doesn't know all that there is involved in the presidency. If he just looked shed from the point of view vision is short. And nobody who hasn't been president has an idea of what the presidency is all about in its entirety. But my goodness you know take a look at what Obama brought to the table when he was a candidate last time. The man couldn't operator corner candy store. -- -- -- grand decisions about the industries of the United States. -- focus on some of the let's say even if you want to save some of the failures of being some of them happened after Romney left. But the record is roughly eighty twinkie. Roughly 80%. Of the involvement that -- had were successful. And somebody's -- -- form Joseph Biden and Barack Obama. That that's the way the marketplace works not everything in the marketplace. Six seats. Lots of businesses that start fail. In fact when you begin a business -- if you try to be an entrepreneur or the record is something like 1995%. Stacked against you. Nine did in 95%. Of startups. Fail. And being generally gun involved with companies that some of the war in trouble and some of them were Brando. So an 80% record. That's pretty good. But could have -- you know you listen to Obama -- it. Who makes it sound like there's something evil about free enterprise she talks about how he likes free enterprise you don't behave that way. He's business people are afraid to do anything as they don't know. New regulations -- don't know about new taxes and this is what the races all about. Has some other elements tube you know Supreme Court and all that but there's a fundamental philosophical difference. They were close with tipping point in this country. Where we gonna end up with so much regulation. And so much oversight and so much involvement by the government that. You know we're -- end of stifling business.
