Good morning sorry we're doing great nice to talk with the as always Jeff from The Washington Times and in this week's column about Jeremiah Wright is back on the scene and it's delightful have -- I mean he's like big gift that keep on -- isn't immaculate the president. How about looking outside I want to see them all I wanna see guys I want it because Listerine but I wanted to let Rudolf the red nosed reindeer and it's it's it's funny that. Is beautiful and and -- Reverend Wright. Well we never got enough of him based on and really what there with the demand in the marketplace last time. You know four years ago he who is he got a little bit of fun in the media and then use the news it's a squash and we never feel like does it feel like the vetting process when properly so an hour in another shot at it do you think by the way this a mistake for Republicans some people are saying. Oh it shouldn't you shouldn't go in this direction we saw what happens in New York Times did. I hit piece on super -- yesterday. Going after them for a proposal not it was nothing anybody even had a pipeline does this create hazards for the GOP. I have to tell you I hope that's the conventional wisdom in Washington a lot of people are saying -- however when I look into the allegations that are being made by right. Here he is talking to Ed Klein. -- promote the biography on Obama via amateur Klein is not a conservative. Klein is untrue maybe even in left. And this stuff is devastating he's on tape he's on the record with a three and a half hour interview. Where Reverend Wright says in the spring of 2008. The Obama campaign. Approached him through its Doug doctor Eric Whitaker who is -- quote Obama golfing bodies. The very close friend in fact worked where Michelle Obama used to work at the University of Chicago medical center. And was offered a 150000. Dollars. Full rights to basically be quiet and apparently right claimed this was done through an email. Now seems to Whitaker is one of the insiders who's there on vacation with the obamas and stuff from I think on the right guy. Yeah he's the guy he he goes on vacation with he's Obama's personal fun to go all the way back to graduate school together and very close. They go golfing together all the time. And Reverend Wright says in the spring of 2000 -- once I was really introduced to the American public. And always sermons are being looped endlessly on cable TV the Obama campaign and Obama himself personally. Wasn't full panic mode he -- his election going down in flames against John McCain. There you can send their agent there emissary. Doctor Eric Whitaker who approaches the right and offers them on behalf of the campaign. -- 150000. Borrowers. For him to stay silent. To not discuss in detail as long relationship with Obama everything that he knows that the basically get out of public view. Now that is abroad. That's a violation of campaign laws. That is attempted bribery that -- conspiracy to commit bribery. And so when Wright went on record as saying I mean I look at this thing this is explosives stopped and let them. Like further goes on to say he refused the offer. So Obama of them according to right. Then took a plane. Flew down to Chicago. -- all right personal. And cry over a -- -- This stay silent and according to -- again and said look. You know a 150000. Dollars. You can live in luxury. This'll -- in -- but we're going right. Rush says that the president offered him the cash himself no longer with a middleman. If he's saying that it came first from a middleman and then he refused and then that Obama basically hand period. What do Wright is saying is that Obama and figure out you know we're getting under -- -- violence. Utilities spoke. He spoke about the whereabouts are noted that he was -- hard bargain wink wink wink and -- it was a very interest thing incidents and this is why I think this story got the Syrian flags. Lo and behold sure as. Last couple of days while these allegations have now come public or all -- this is now coming in being aired out by abide by Reverend Wright. All of a sudden there -- six million dollar grant. Offered by the Obama administration. To the University of Chicago medical centers urban health initiative. Guess who runs the urban health initiative. Doctor Eric Whitaker. It and so you know this is almost as if Chicago but this is the Chicago with a wink wink. You never spoke about the right right correct doctor Whitaker nobody -- offered riot went blank here's six million dollars. And I can go a long way in Chicago wearing that medical. Because -- do reverend Wright's kind of a hot head and I would think if you were offering is somebody like him -- a bride to be silent for. And the presidency is at stake would you be silent for a 150 grant. Well I think to me that's my thing that's peanuts. But as you know -- also begs the question what they're slush fund. Well it also make -- you know Reverend Wright did stay quiet. So he refused a 150 the eventually agreed take some of this money that was on food to the university Chicago is -- -- your alleged. No no no no army began the the use of the University of Chicago. Medical center at doctor Eric Whitaker that's something else that's him now. After his name has been mentioned by rights hang your polling that's -- sent me yet he sent me emails. So we're basically what -- thing is that the man who sent him emails on behalf of Obama or Obama sculpting body. The man who approached him the man who said we will give you explicitly. A 150000. Ball just stay silent pulpit that's a long relationship with Obama. Say nothing good out of public view. I just found out about what point yeah 48 hours. All of a sudden he's been awarded in massive federal grand. Doctor Eric Whitaker -- -- six million look what it's the world initiative that he runs at the University of Chicago medical center says very center by the way. That Michelle Obama worked. And where she made a very lucrative -- And so you know Whitacre has now been given essentially is six million dollar federal grant. OK Jeff the you know -- of controversy around -- stems in product goes back a few years and John McCain made a conscious decision he wasn't gonna. Delving into the summer of love relationships and other things yesterday its surface to super -- might be considering. Really driving home the link between Reverend Wright Barack Obama. And Romney says G I want nothing to do with that and that would be wrong. Help us understand the politics and is that -- Krauthammer says it's good tactically for for Romney to do that other people -- While he would go again you just sidestep on the reality and in -- gonna let you know things slide by. -- -- interest in palm is that if it's true. And a crime was committed this is not just unethical it is literally -- this is a massive violation of campaign laws. I believe this can even I mean this this could trigger all sorts of laws. People could end up going to jail. And so if I were house Republicans in my parking Mitt Romney's campaign that Roman Catholic and should things. I got bigger issues. I got the economy -- percent unemployment. We've got record deficits record that I can't revisit and re litigate the whole Jeremiah Wright issue. But if I'm a Republican on Capitol Hill and in particular if I'm chairman Darrell Issa. California Republican only got oversight and Government Reform Committee. I would issue a subpoena. Demanding that Reverend Wright come up to Capitol Hill and testified move that would be fun -- that one I put him underwrote. And say -- now upon the pain of perjury in my pocket about talking to our reporter now under the pain of perjury where you offered a 150000. -- Send Mike congressional investigators. Tracked down both email from doctor Eric Whitaker and if like repeats. Word for word what he told Ed Klein then I was subpoenaed doctor Eric Whitaker. And then somebody's line does it Whitaker is lying or -- -- right -- line. Jeff thought my my sense is this kind of stuff the year fantasizing about doesn't happen that when things are this big and the Americans and go. Right -- heart of people power that it doesn't happen. I know you're right part of -- look a lot of Republicans are squeamish. I can tell you this little this ironically. Many of them believe will have gone home. And this could be the tip of the iceberg now you have to ask I think the American people have about themselves -- If they were willing to bribe a mistrust the word is. If they were willing to bribing former processor. Who else. Have they been offering cash in exchange for their complete. But if our offer only 150 grand -- for guys big is right -- -- -- held all the marbles to his election right could single handedly stop Barack Obama for being elected president he chose not to. So if he if he wasn't gonna do for 150 Grady did there for free or duty at a payment I mean it's all very confusing. Well I mean the way right -- that is that that he was in bitter he was hurt by the way Obama threw him under the bus. He was psychologically shelf -- But now every bit as much as this is what he is now saying is that that when Obama came to Trinity United Church. Or having out of you guys know what I'm 132 eskimo. A little. More than thirty duets tomorrow and I'm I'm looking and I think I'm also a native Indian they don't want thirty do native Indian. What do you tell if you look at the snow and Rudolph the red -- -- and I asked that I'll. That's pretty address that. And look what can apply for a job and armored. Hot hot hot I I don't see why would have a problem. But I look I think this is a disgrace on the on many levels. Somebody like Elizabeth Warren is clearly was perpetrating a fraud I think she was perpetrating -- com. I mean if your great great great. Grandmother even if she was Cherokee. That does not qualify you -- somebody of native Indian ancestry. She obviously use that to get ourselves. Lucrative academic career -- if she kept it on the directory for years I think Harvard law and knew this was -- scam. They turned a blind guy and I think this goes to the heart of her characters she's willing to lie about pumping like there's. And perpetrate a scam perpetrated fraud. Upon these students of Harvard and now she's I think were perpetrating a fraud upon the people -- the -- -- doubling down instead of admitting that it was it was a complete hoax. She's now doubling down in claiming again that she's got native Indian ancestry. She's not native Indian. And this -- I think that the problem identity politics. When you have insurance in the morning when you have where you know affirmative action and you have racial quotas. And you have so much money and positions in power invested. -- -- having certain racial groups being identified and represented. An hired. You're gonna get a lot of fraud you're gonna get a lot of people claiming 164. Bears won sixteen there's 132. And before you know it everybody's a little bit African American everybody's a little Hispanic everybody's a little native Indian everybody. And notice with Obama this is the thing about Obama. You know when it's it would send me the canyon. I've been born in Hawaii. Then when he goes to Ireland he's Irish so heavily now in violation. I. You know what he most of the Muslim world he was raised by a Muslim father he's basically discovered of them -- Muslim. But not all men in America is a question I was the only thing hasn't done. Is go to Israel. Yeah I thought I enjoy. And it's got a few months that's our second is our -- he's got a few months to Tokyo. So what do you think about I found this to be an amazing story yesterday whether it whether it sheds any news information one way or -- -- where the president was born. -- I'm more inclined to think that this information to him yesterday about his publicist. Promoting him as a Kenyan born author. That that has to do with the fact of trying to play this identity politics game that you're talking about and I I'm amazed. That. When you do a Google news search of the story. That there's virtually nothing from any significant. America or even insignificant American newspapers what's your take on that Jeff. I've got a convertible into this with absolute certainty I interviewed a lot of Obama's friends who went to school without him. Both of them undergraduate and as a graduate. And he would brag that he was born in Kenya. And he thought that it has to capture it. That it made it seem cosmopolitan and a little bit exotic very multi cultural. Somebody who had been from all over the world he was born in Kenya Airways in Indonesia also raised in Hawaii. Travel he's been everywhere. Now and I also know that when he was in the states senate and even some of the early. Press clippings when he was running for senate in Illinois US senate he was referred to as having been born in Kenya. So I think what the the big thing about this story yesterday I think is that is that the birth the birther movement the so called birth certificate movement. Hasn't probably been let off the hook. That you usually it's it's hard now for people to a claim that well they've made it up out of thin air. They just so despite the president or they're all such secret racist. That they invented this story about having him be that him having been born in Kenya. Because this is -- -- -- some have been part of his biography. For the last sentence fifteen years and more of them. -- that the big story I think that offer everybody's radar insurer Joseph Arpaio. Here you have a man who has sent off as cold case investigators. These are supposedly law enforcement professionals. Who very afraid they've looked at this birth certificate the long form original birth certificate. That Obama presented. What he was being pounded by Donald Trump on the issue and he says it's a follow me. He says it's a fraud. So I think this issue was not gonna go away I think Arpaio is gonna come back again he says he's got even more evidence. I think this is gonna -- Obama. And I think in the end if I was the president of the United States. I would rather be talking about my birth certificate. I'd rather be talking about issues like Jeremiah Wright. -- talking about his record because the one thing the Obama White House does not want to do. It's talk about the high unemployment rate soaring gas prices. The unpopularity of obamacare. This fifteen point six trillion dollar debt to record deficits. If you fight this campaign. On on his record and if so what Romney's gonna do. I think Obama is talks what Obama wants to do is talk about everything but it's failed economic legacy.
