And then -- them -- That's the team. And welcome back under review radio Kevin -- when you. Really glad to be able to welcome back to the program. The author of the single best book of -- about president Barack Obama -- called the case against Barack Obama. And let's just say that the idea that he wasn't vetted is completely wrong because -- against a denial of the job vetting this president David for those so welcome back to -- review radio. Thanks so much terminator. It's a pleasure we love the book is probably the single most cited book here on up under review radio Sunday night's. Continuously point back to it it's served really I think as a road map for the first term here. Well there are a lot of ways dementia and once that's probably true. I I I continue to believe and -- know that a lot of people think of Barack Obama is someone who was. Dreamed up in the basement of the Kremlin or something it and a lot of other people think of him as somebody who descended from heaven but I've always. Firmly believe that he's the guy who came from Chicago and knows how to do -- yet you Begin -- And pretty much everything else is secondary consideration. It is ambitious and initially become president and I think that now he is. He's really crushing gamble well what sort of -- he can you serve as president as well. David for -- so is the guest Washington examiner. Editorial page editor and that's a new title for you David so congratulations are in order there. Thank you sir tell us a little bit about the Washington examiner and some of the great writers that the the Paper both online and in print employees. Well we've we've actually had just been excellent. Stable political writers. It's. Many if you're in that Michael Barone in his political analysis he is he's our guy. We always first. Rights group of analysts say first to Washington -- dot com Byron York as another excellent. Political order. Following around. Many of the different campaign is not quite -- it this year do great work. -- -- we also that so quietly I think is oh god I would say knows more about Obama here and in one perhaps some pretty Obama himself. And Conn Carroll writes our morning examiner that goes out by now that incurred certain to sign up Portugal and Internet com. You can you can sign up for the morning ambulances and grief and mourning summation of what's going on which. Yet it's like a well curator collection of links everything the political junkie needs for as the morning routine. And -- Right well with an analysis is well. At the beginning -- week. A good look at what's going on -- on the right and on the left in the Blogosphere and also it would open -- stories aren't and you know what you needed it the most -- you. David for -- so is against Washington examiner editorial page editor New York Times best selling author of the case against Barack Obama also gangster government wanna talk about that. It's about the phone number 26172666868. That's 6172666868. Gangster government David that's an area that I think. You know if mr. -- the ugliness that was Occupy Wall Street and you took you know the same people who kind of liked what they were trying to do. Out there. In the Tea Party people I think the idea of crony capitalism. Is one area that there could be a lot of agreement between those -- to rather diverse groups. And I don't think anyone does a better job of covering the issue of crony capitalism which to me is the ultimate bi partisan issue than yourself and does Jay Carney at the at the exam or. It can cause -- -- -- CNBC go into that room -- -- -- acorn you know White House spokesman Robert and all right -- and his brother John is on CNBC right. That's right that is so many companies out there on the media. That's right yeah you know when you look at the wonders of the world and you look at the various companies have benefited from the stimulus package. It is a scary. -- world out there. And and who reason reaping the benefits of Barack Obama presidency you know they'll be able to sit in the victors go the oil and yeah old days before October Cleveland it was literally. The president would come in in bringing all -- people who work in government. For the modern civil service system. And that's changed now we Al modern civil service system but now we award all the contracts for the crowd. And we -- regulations that benefit -- and we raised taxes that and to decrease by speaking out smaller competitors. We give the cronies open. It will market and we give the cronies exemptions for the regulations and unlikely oil and health care. Notice that exactly right any net. That there have been a number of issues in the last congress but in healthcare we've seen. Situation here big pharma cut the deals didn't work. There's no question if you look at the economics of medicine and the health care. The biggest margins in the biggest profits have always been drug industry and who got completely left out of pocket if it weren't touched. They bought protection from Barack Obama are running at the table on the air it was form. That the drug makers. We will once they got away Scot free from where is the insurance companies with a market they're very small -- most of the -- pictures and clearly profitable at all. Beard well they pretty much in -- in the public utilities that partner with the help. Being able essentially function as public utility. David for grosso is a guest editorial page editor the Washington examiner or missing -- roster starting with. Maybe the best there is Michael Barone. David we were talking earlier tonight pebble on the program about Mitt Romney another we have a clear choice we have you know we're down to two it's no long do you perfect candidate a perfect world it's you it's either this guy and that guy. You know under that prison Mitt Romney was pretty good to me and we were wondering what is the best line of attack from that revenues take. Because as we -- kind of sometimes lose sight of -- being political junkies the battle is for the 20% of independents in the middle. Not you know not for the 40% were pretty firm in in their in their votes. So do you what what do you think is it for Mitt Romney the best line of attack is it's a -- everything on the economy. But yes I I really think it is ultimately mean you go crony capitalist we've been talking about the failures. -- Obama administration policies. They could explode and become much worse for Obama than now but the main thing about the election can be where implement rate later this year. And I really believe it's ultimately about something you know some days text -- that comes along and really knock Obama off the course. It's the election ultimately. Going to be decided advises the old question of whether people feel like they're better off if you were four years ago. The four years ago things are pretty factual errors you know clean -- is because interpreted actually. And that is the -- one estimate is that Obama has failed to make them and better -- most Americans are we here. -- Obama was not present when the crisis occurred. In that in fact he hadn't been elected yet even when the worst of it was just going -- But they are aware of what's happened since the fact that -- do not seem to be getting not much better. And if they suddenly get much much better. Would probably help Obama and could get him elected but they seem to mean they are now. I think he's in buried actually completed this year I think Romney has -- Yeah idea I think he's got a George H. W. Bush problem on his hands Obama does in that the sentiment is so negative and it's been so bad for so long. That even if economic numbers turn up someone. And you can lay out killed twelve consecutive quarters of growth or whatever it is to recall when George Bush got voted out of office George Bush number one. The growth for it was a three and a half 4% were totally out of recession no one felt it yet. And people still thought we were in a recession in the doubling of the economy was just jobs stupid and -- I can see the same thing happened in two Barack Obama here. David let me ask you -- vote. A ball Barack -- that the difference between his words and deeds it's a theme I've had with this guy for a long long time we played some sound earlier from. The campaign and -- about the kind of president he was gonna be the uniter not a divider. Do you think that's a waste of time for Romney to remind people the bill of goods -- sold us last time around. Well I I don't think it's the -- photography could put things in perspective. You you certainly look all of the soaring rhetoric of the Obama only. The content of bipartisan. Nature that it is is attempted. Just for the simple good of the country we in the bush years and get away from legacy and not as attractive. For independence. In 2008. I use you. War in Iraq that was stressed. Just going. Quite -- that it has gone way too long and that people were very concerned about -- number of problems for president it's I'm. And then certainly have the financial crisis on top of that and just seemed like a no brainer for a lot of independents to pick the other side. But for all of the rhetoric about a new politics and and the you know how -- simple competence in government was gonna help but what we news. Is very sharply partisan and not very competent politics what. And you know -- can be part of the case that now Obama has failed me well. People aren't all over Green or -- because. Obama has. We will do whatever it would be good news is that it's focused more ideologies and are pragmatic solutions for the country's problems -- I think. So I think that -- quarter -- a perfectly on is going to make it and it is -- in nicely with the oval and the content. It does that he has to walk of a delicate line -- that one though because he's basically reminding people that you Uga played. That's exactly right. People I I think that Bobby you know it's easy that is itself because he's telling people what you -- in good -- blitzes up -- up front and it's on. You know you have achieved to a value. So you know probably you're gonna agree to -- It again. David photos so if the economy is with a focus -- to be in my opinion there can be no other choice for vice president and Paul Ryan. I think he'd be a very strong -- if I were him I would be hesitant about taking it simply because. It would be stepped down memory is -- my House Budget Committee that the Google to be great loss for representative. But you know Ryan would be good because he is. So sharp and so capable explain in the country but your problem honestly wonder like are the guys aren't in the human kind. I feel like I'm getting smarter just listening to because. You've really really knows the budget well you talk a lot of politicians who don't you you really understand issues are discussing it just kind of their talking points. -- is not one -- -- -- is a theory here stroke. Who. Would be you know -- -- He's got swings stated you use somebody -- -- a lot of democratic votes in his district of Wisconsin. And just so fresh young face -- I think would would look very good you know it makes sense that people talk about it. You can't characterize as much as they're gonna try you know to make -- Paul Ryan out to be the stereotypical evil Republican that can't wait starve grandma. You just can't do yeah. -- -- off the cliff and everything it's almost analyzes the Democrats went over the top without last year that sort of on this. There are to come back from it but don't look like it inoculated because. -- and so extreme. Is. You know is -- budget plan social darwinism sold out so I don't know exactly social I mean come. The serious and ultimately the point where slowing the rate of growth in certain program is just the same thing it's your grandmother. You know it's -- since social darwinism David. An American social darwinism. Well it's what what is -- what's worse is. What programs continue to make promises they eat until finally got -- people oh sorry we promise you this figure retirement and we're not giving. That's happening people agree. As we continue on the Athlon now out -- out and are we don't we don't have to. Did you. Promises we need to make them realistic and that's what part of what entire -- road -- out. Well let's hope he's the man that -- says what I hope David thank you so much for coming back on under review it's always a pleasure to talk politics -- Thank you David for an oh so Washington examiner did in the may -- behind the glass thanks so much have a great week everybody.
