Brings me to this week's -- a -- -- some late breaking news this morning that current Republican frontrunner former. Speaker of the house Newt Gingrich has failed to make the ballot in his home state of Virginia. Along also join that failed a group of people. Is Rick Perry the governor of Texas in fact only Ron Paul and Mitt Romney made the ballot there. Now this is a major failure for the current current front or how major. How can it be that Gingrich supposedly the smartest guy running for president in the history of this country. Failed to make the ballot all of that's easy -- you start making is taking his run seriously until we started to do well the polls. Gingrich's campaign much like Herman -- was modeled. Moore is a bookstore. Then as an actual presidential campaign this is a guy who pulled the Martha Coakley he went on vacation during his campaign for president he went on a cruise -- a couple weeks. To promote his movie and books. Now it's hard to listen to him talk about how he is more electable. Then Mitt Romney and taken seriously when he can't do this very basic things like get on the free -- ballot in his home state of Virginia. Yes I understand. Virginia is one of the hardest stage to get on the ballot. But if there is investigation. Shouldn't that have kept supposedly fringe candidate -- off the ballot. Gingrich can make -- all the excuses in the world about how the system is broken and it's unfair but they just don't pass the smell test. This is an embarrassing organizational failure for Newt Gingrich. His supporters should think twice before investing in him what their dollars and their votes as the latest. Not Mitt Romney candidate and that's this -- went along -- 617. 2666868. In Texas at 66 city. Yeah out -- Newt Gingrich failing to make the ballot in Virginia this is a major failure for the guy it. In all the irony to -- here is there's only two candidates on the ballot in Virginia now it's going to be Mitt Romney and Ron Paul. Gingrich who lives in the Washington suburb Maclean had put in a last minute effort to get on the ballot. Paying contractors more than a buck fifty per signature collected a lot of money says deferred for signature gathering although there are professional petitioners they get paid -- To -- Gingrich submitted about 111000 signatures the party was required to review each one and to ensure that they had at least 101000. The at least 101000 reform ballot registered voters. Now Ron Paul and Mitt Romney submitted 151000. Signatures preempting the signature by -- maturity process. And the Republican Party Virginia basically told everybody to get 151000 we'll just let you and because that's enough. On. -- now Gingrich is blasting them rob. Rick Perry's glass in not I get it. That's just it's a tough state to get on the ballot at 6172666868. But. Virginia Oklahoma Indiana they've always been somewhat tougher. So let's toughest state stood to deal with. It's been a real. Now it's never been a real sexy issue ballot access is never got something people of cared about. All you whatever it's just it's just not. It's not sexy like yum fighting over abortion or health care -- it gay marriage it's just like getting in the ballot who ho hum. In Massachusetts it's not I don't think it's. What one needs to ask is what percentage of valid registered voters self identify current address that matches voter rolls. But the Voeller might not have updated since 2008 are you a 100% certain that your address. You and all your neighbors matches current voter rolls it's charging that this is not an accurate used to identify registered voters -- for any candidate not just English the official route. People are gonna start donor rounding out this plan I feel like ever and been having their fun and games trying to keep things interest staying at any time finally stand around I think even the anti Romney. Indiana's up in January gives him a little bit more time but that's still a difficult -- race to get on the ballot and a difficult loss state -- on the ballot. This puts him in him in other candidates in a precarious situation because. How many of these guys are actually structure -- prepared to go the distance and all in a long term campaign this isn't going to be. It's settled by the end of February this is gonna gul potentially all the way to the convention. Yeah I mean I can. And he's its fall and it's just fall flat he's fallen flat on his face. Although he is getting some traction New Hampshire if he can crack 10% or even second place in the second or third place New Hampshire that would be big coup for him. But. We're talking upper right wing militias. It's it's not talking of just he referred to Martin Luther King as a out bisexual had to file who. Like seduce underage girls and boys some sort of really really serious stuff here on it not just the traditional -- -- neo conservative. Conspiracy related new stuff ECB can't talk -- he goes for deeper and further urged the blatant stuff what he does it. Is he claims he has no memory of -- That how can it did he passed it the here's the thing took the bat around for a long time. How was he not prepare some sort of responsiveness is a you if you work in PR is this a catastrophic failure of of of of of his campaign -- out of his self not being prepared to answer these questions. Leo I mean first of all -- nobody's gonna. By the fact that he doesn't know when you run for office you have people do research on stuff that's out there in the world that.
