Thank you very much now Knox Nancy tough questions he tried to butter me up now I'm so but it didn't work and no assurance artwork. -- -- -- -- good but there -- a lot of people on the first of all that look kilometer or use easy question how a lot of people -- Barney was vulnerable and he had to you know it wasn't even clothes after all. Yet amazing I mean we were minus drives. I was surprised from a particular perspective I was so I've known -- for many years as you know but this was my first time. Having a formal. Roll on his campaign staff and and we -- previous campaign manager I mean it was a great honor I mean you can say what you want about Barney Frank -- look Tucker politics he's probably. One of the most famous. Political figures in the country oh yes he definitely is that yeah and so when you get out to -- as a campaign like that in your guy like me that does politics it's it's a pretty prestigious thing I was honored and and -- parties are very gracious god in the and I took the job and you know in the New York minute that they stay and I figured. Others might be tough I mean you've got this I always going on out there are. And you've got -- the Internet Fox News to separate the people that they like that guy but. But I guess I know different cycle I mean I know him personally on a personal level and I was on to take the job and I I think that we probably were going to have a close race given. Two factors and that is number one. The unemployment rate in -- county which is obviously -- hub to that fourth district is very hot. And people have a reason to be angry and I think -- sympathizes with that very much so and the other factors that yes the candidate that ran against us. That we really campaign that's not advocate -- I would run his resume on paper when you look at -- you state yourself okay this is a serious. If -- is young but I mean especially compared -- was some of the other congressional candidates he was prowled the best one another Republican -- issue right. -- -- an old line I mean you know better than anybody on paper good candidate right you look at her resume you think yourself okay we've got to gear up. We've got to put together the geo TV we've got to raise the money and we've got to keep you prepare for something the party hasn't had a lot I mean that's a race and we get the job. And quite frankly. I. Cable or salt personally had to -- the democratic opponent who wanted to go to Mars right. -- He's he's not tough so is that they had salad -- that would probably -- there that Iowa is hated you know let's. That had I remember the data about twenty of them walked into the headquarters. And they demand that the beta -- I. I -- I don't wanna go to Mars for -- I know. -- out actually very restrained and asked that that night but throughout the let's take us back now to election night when he wins. You come up clear probably with amber some plane and getting ready to repair the speed trading you wanna see that's a victory speech rights or you're supposed to be happy about that right. Very much -- and below it but one we heard Barney Frank's speech. He gave me he gave me kind of tirade against the Boston hair all -- and saying there are irrelevant and he sounded angry didn't sound like a very gracious victory speech to me. I think there's a reason I mean look at if you look at the results here's the bottom line the guy got a 125000. Votes in the year when he was vilified. And what people pretty angry that apparently something going on here that he's doing right and I think there's there's three answers to questions. The first is. People like the blunt just say what they hacked on my mind Barney. I yeah I'd do -- did some respects yes. It straight out I mean look at the people in the district know that -- basically doesn't -- type every syllable like the other politicians out there. And I think it's been the attraction and a below that the attraction we'd be talking about a different outcome right now -- new. Party right don't speeches and I support of a 100%. I have said in campaign staff meetings going back today. I've got witnesses and I can pull out and we'll tell you I think our number one steam through this campaign was. Barney Frank you might disagree with them but no one will ever called a liar and -- -- -- -- -- what he says it was it was Tom DeLay. The Republican leader of the united states of the represented at two and asked by a pole star. The -- they were doing a poll named the most honest member of congress Tom DeLay said Barney Frank. -- 6172666868. Is the number to call 686 city is the tax. We're talking about Barney Frank with Barney franks campaign manager Kevin supporters so feel free calling -- take your shots that now's your chance. Of course barring you know I you I will admit the Barney Frank is a good -- campaign are really comes up to the district a lot I think -- had a lot to do with him would you like that people he's not one of those guys who sits in Washington all the time. He comes up to the district but the same time. He seemed to be a there was a big fund raising campaign against them nationally a lot of people got on board the deal like campaign. You had Mitt Romney Scott Brown campaigning for -- -- so. It looked like it was going to be sort of a tough race for Barney Frank and there really did turn out that way but -- eight. I understand you know people like a blunt guy but they don't like -- so what are you a sore winner I guess is what you call it people like a sore winner. It was one of those moments where Barney even Barney -- -- pared down now and learn the meaning of the word he he becomes. Perhaps even more blunt than usual blunt that but I think what happened during the campaign in this that you can grant them as biased that they gotten on the guy's campaign manager I love him like a brother. And NL. Where I come from loyalty is no light as George HW bush once said but I think that. Barney and I are in the campaign. Some pretty tough stuff our remember the date that the opponent and I in the exact quote called party could erupt -- might happen. Barney Frank and I'll ask you question what do you think -- pension is gonna be when he retires in two or four years. A lot probably get slapped him zero point zero dollars he's the only member of united states of the represented as one of the only there's two other. Something like that who from day one refused. And decline. The pension because they think it's too generous. Well certainly -- -- that's that's admirable but certainly there are questions about his role in this big financial scandal led sort of you know screwed up -- all the whole nation's economy. And I was one of the big issues in the campaign. I think it resonated so because parties explanation is not only found it's backed up. I mean give you know Paul Volcker is not a dumb guy the former chairman of Federal Reserve. And Barney sat side by side with in medicine clothes in the Boston College are -- before the election. I -- and the chairwoman. The FDIC. And the bottom line is when he became chairman I think it was about ninety days into the chairmanship he got rid of the predatory loan practices which they had tried to do but the Republicans. Put it down your years earlier and I'll be blunt I think that any Freddie things. I think what I always say yeah I mean go ahead but my point my point being that I. I think any Freddie obviously -- -- huge issue -- here they use mistakes it was he's mistaken for him to come out and say there were there were flying a few days before they went bankrupt I think you know was not good for him. When Barney Frank talked about any and Freddie being solved that you're talking about two years ago when there was literally no person including those carrying crystal ball. Who saw what was coming. -- out -- comments after that though right before word that they collapsed -- Point of fact it's actually Barney who was the one who spoke out consistently against giving loans. The people who shouldn't get -- I mean he was talking about homeownership after which -- -- which which take waste. I think even he even admitted though that he you know made it made me miscalculation. On Madden and not realizing it. They clear that he he's made clear that he did not see you this -- sooner than anybody else to what was happening but I think -- look at I look at this way. I don't blame George Bush for the class of the economy so I'll be fair about it I think anybody who wants to blame. Barney Frank for the collapse of the economy you might as well Plymouth -- for the common cold -- unity that it justice it doesn't it doesn't hold water and you know usually just to finish my last point that ten seconds. Usually progressive Democrat. Get blamed for wanting to give a home to anybody and everybody no matter what it Barney who's on record as saying wait a minute. If they don't qualify let him rant it's not the worst thing and melts detect even relic of the conservative and that's why notify raised by the weight jokes you know better than anybody. That the US chamber of commerce which is not exactly liberal money Nazi out usually running up against people like party guests coming out they ran against us -- they ran ads against a lot of other people that are not already -- these established he can't -- pro business attitude and -- This is the -- that on a lot of issues. The bankers. The businessmen they see a guy who's willing to listen to them an article that said that the fact that does. I want government to be either -- but you know something. Sometimes government needs to get out of the way which is like. But if he would if he if he's vindicated why he feels so why feel a need to lash out data news favored just because Maine turn the camera on his partner NN at a bad moment. I think got to adjust to that not so much up the top but I had a get have been thinking about it but my answer to that would be number one that when you sense that your partner. Is maybe getting a little bit of -- kit that's tough thing for any of us. Well he he's giving you brought it on himself. I'm not -- -- -- here I'm on Barney side imagined that I didn't I just admit that number new. I think Barney is just to get back to -- them not to reiterate -- be too boring about the whole thing. But -- -- the type of guy who I mean let's be honest any other politician would have to get not done up there. In giving you this speech that the speech writer wrote. Barney says what he really thinks other politicians don't do it by myself tighter. Do you think though now he realizes maybe it wasn't such a good idea we have people like Margery Eagan writing columns saying you know instead congressman this was this. Behavior was -- -- -- your dignity. I mean does he realize now that there's probably not a good idea to do now. I know I love I love marketed that she's a good personal friend as you know and I and I mean that but I think he stands by -- -- 200% I think what he was trying to say. Very clearly is that the coverage of the race wasn't exactly what you call a 100% air from certain venues and you know something it's my night. In Amber's gonna tell you what they really think that supposed to do what pollsters tell -- -- is not the type -- -- to hold this finger in the wind waiting for some directions -- -- you what's really the heart. Look closely you think you would have given -- he lost. I don't know who I think that's some but the I think got I don't think put it happened I think in the at the end of the day the guy that won this straight. Was the guided the -- kept the LNG tanker at a Weaver's cove he's the guy that brought firefighters teacher jobs back. I thought the Republicans finally we were endorsed. By one of -- former Republican opponents. Who said in a press release that. Yes -- what you want about the guy if there's anybody that works harder I think between but I am. Yeah right I mean there there's the question is really means is that if he's really gotten away with a lot I think in margin was point out a lot of stuff. That other people wouldn't get away it was because people say always is Barney you know that's the way he says there are a lot of may have honestly rude behavior. Not seen him do it did doesn't bother me but I know it's -- other music I see him -- to reporters through out. His career it doesn't really matter who it could be from the New York Times it could be trying to ABC news. He's rude to people all the time there are a thief steals anyway that he's getting a stupid question. That then hell lash out and you know I did I went. Retired her I've never heard these stories before I -- -- -- America -- I don't know -- -- -- -- witnessed them personally but that he didn't win and he -- lend us -- -- yeah we say you know says a lot about him and about Massachusetts I guess -- -- year where I mean were you. Shocked by news this neo results overall no no I wasn't shocked at -- -- didn't get a Kevin by the way it works for our Christie my oh so he's not shocked very author -- -- not -- that. Really not much that shocked me you know our in this business -- pretty much in it all the reason I wasn't shocked is I think parties have a guy who's seven to go around forty I couldn't keep up with. You know Barney up at 5 in the morning and -- and thirty he's looking for another -- to go to where can look for the people I mean the guy. Defiant workaholic drive the same junk box car that he had for twenty years rent the same apartment that he had for thirty years. He announced cheap to me it doesn't she doesn't care about material look at what cares about is working for the district electric got. Do you think do you think he's just gonna keep running now even one nowadays in the minority here -- you as a power. Yeah I if I were if I had to bet money right now I'd say that in 2012. He'll run again and I wanna respond to something that -- -- on the radio all day and it's driving me crazy time if the minority had no power. The majority would get everything through and they never did okay. Yeah let the Republicans will have a huge advantage they don't candidate picked up a lot of faith but at the end of the day if the minority were completely irrelevant they just stay outside and you know what it's like the one -- committee chairman you're like the king of the world and now when when you lose that chairmanship it's a huge huge blow to your prestige and and a lot of people can't handle it. I think if there's anybody that can notes -- I mean there's Republicans. And I mean Republican members of the house. Who told me that the last thing they wanted there was debate -- in Francona post war left but at least don't forget it was the George Bush White House the called party. Scary smart myth that it Backstreet they have terminals that respectfully. It -- -- the diagnosis stop. And he'll carry anything on election night. I remember the big health care debate remember those town meetings on health care bill yes -- do -- -- -- you -- let's face -- a lot of members got caught. You know not knowing the unit doesn't want his democratic opponents when he called his opponent what they are able yes there's nothing that happened. What somebody got up and said have you read this ten billion page bill which obviously the average person just can't. Barney said. -- have what you wanna talk about. And it didn't matter what technical actually brought up he do it backwards and forwards. She just has such a powerful intellect -- I think -- a minority position. Actually tried in a lot of ways I think the next year's going to be excited. I don't agree 61 -- -- 2666868. Was Barney Frank out of bounds by -- calling out -- herald well I didn't you know we're talking with Telus -- -- campaign manager -- you keep saying your bias obviously. I appreciate that but I think it's going to be a tough thing for him to go back without being a committee chairman and not having that that. A year career I hope you're you're very good defender Byron for equity durability is -- where are committing a nickel and their -- I don't know what they'll investigate -- that working hard I mean you know I think one of the didn't speak. I think one of the things people gonna react to you on that one and you know we've already interest -- the last 24 hours. You know if this first thing out of the gate you do when you take over. The majority it is okay now we're gonna investigate the people who used to be the majority I mean. Well that's the Democrats did the nightly here's the Democrats did the same thing and I think it was eight disastrous move I think what Democrats do it and I think we're Republicans do it. It just is not the -- leadership people looking for right now people looking for three things jobs jobs and jobs. Investigate how to get more jobs in my community investigate what you can do to prime the pump but you know I mean look at. I I think does investigations will come though I think here you know there and then had never done poorly signaling that they wanna go after some these people and it's going to be pretty ugly I thank. It it it it it could be but. You know if they do do it I think if there's anybody that can handle -- Barney the record's clear it's established and I -- court about a. The 6172666868.
