How's the campaign go now you run before Telus you've run against Barney a couple of other times I know.

Well I know I just rhetoric against Barney once -- once they have a short campaign then to sell. A four month campaign people were still a little confused. The financial issues are very complicated you know what derivatives and credit default swaps and government sponsored enterprises and all of that right. And I think the you know pretty frank now is at the end of his rope people have figured out that he's one of the major players. Indeed one of the chief architects of the mortgage meltdown. And I think they're not. It's going to a another two years I think he's extremely vulnerable. And I think I'm the guy is going to be.

Hey -- we're getting as you're speaking to us we're getting a little he. Every once in awhile and Chris says it's not from our end. Is that I what kind of -- you wanna just on a regular land line there armada land mine actually and do you think if people are calling knew we might be getting a little sound do you have they got caller Iran. Chain of people that he just wants to roll the dice one more time in the direction of affordable housing. And in the meantime east put taxpayers on the hook for five point one trillion dollars. But debt because. Assumed and at the banks from more than happy. To let him on the toxic paper. That essentially the community reinvestment act forced upon the -- banking community and the the mortgage companies. And you know there's saying how Wall Street Charlie that the innovators are always two steps ahead of the regulators and boy they sure proved that to be true in the.

Oh absolutely. We're talking Earl show all the candidate for congress in the fourth district PS a primary two weeks and today and the winner will take aren't Barney Frank. Who I think is someone who could go down this time. Go down this time now do you remember it from two years ago when you ran and out there campaigning and talking to people. And now two years later what's the difference in the voters what what are you hearing that's different out there oral.

Well this sentiment is completely change when I was at -- 2008. A lot of people still like Barney Frank he gets an a on constituent services he spent a lot of favor for a lot of people. A lot of favors and it's change this time many of those says staunch Democrats are. So we really do need some change -- he's been in their effort to want. The and thank -- chief furry is unlike anything I've ever seen before Charlie.

That's for sure I'm seeing it all over the state -- we saw the new poll yesterday from Gallup that shows. By ten points people are favoring Republican candidates over democratic candidates but it's still Massachusetts -- I mean it would be. Well you know what hello Scott Brown won in Massachusetts.

Right it would be the second Massachusetts miracle wouldn't.

Charlie it sure way to -- what so what issues you went for sizing this time around what are you telling the people if if you vote for -- what would you do for instance about Obama care.

Well well there --

Vote to repeal it. And you know -- blame the Republicans for not taking bullied at some of these issues years ago Charlie we could've picked up the the issues. Tort reform. Also were interstate commerce. A preexisting conditions though those would have made a great Republican issues and and we really. I dropped the ball on those issues we I don't even think we'd be talking about. Obama care right now the Republicans have done their job because you know we're supposed to be the opposition party. And the Democrats have been gaining ground for the last seven years for gosh sakes going back Franklin Delano Roosevelt. So we haven't done our job and Obama care -- but I think on most people's mileage the real issue in this district. Is unemployment and jobs and how we got to get our financial house or what are we gotta do to relish emulate the economy. Because you and I know Charlie. You've been in the business for a long time and you work with Mitt Romney back in 94 fact I work the next campaign over over in Belmont I came -- helped polish and notched up.

When Scott Brown ran against me in a special. State -- primary election but we're Cheryl JC quiet running gastric quite sure got forty point 1% of the vote. -- people.

High. Eight nation had there the governor wanna -- drop out they were endorse and Scott Brown because -- shutting state -- And you know that's the --

How often we have two Republicans. In a primary and I shed debt also remind the governor that. I managed to like get -- elected and he -- excuse me and I should wolf the yet Green Party called me and management of collections signatures for Gil Stein. And and I shed what a way to shut and I I only work work. Republicans and conservatives like candidates typically I I thought to myself gee if I get there. It's like get these signatures for -- she's gonna take votes away from Shannon O'Brien and act at all Mitt. And I Kerry Healey when. And sure enough she got on the ballot -- that I put her over the top. And the rest -- One play lesson three percentage points and Jill Stein got three percentage points -- that election so I sit and and the -- laughed at the other renovation that's great he should we get people -- to collect and so it.

As a small business guy. Someone who's built small businesses what do you see is going on with the economy and what would you like to see changed in Washington.

Well look what made this country prospers and what made -- the economic engine that drives world's economy Charlie. Is so hard work and succession was always rewarded. And we always had limited government -- our country and now. We have one of the most oppressive corporate tax rates in the world even the Japanese are beginning to realize that -- they got a lower their corporate tax rate if they're going to be competitive they're talking about lowering the 30%. Which would give us the highest that tax corporate tax rate -- world. -- I think people for hard work and success because that's what made this country great. It's sort of the American legacy in the American success story. I'd like to I have some common sense solutions in Summitt -- so I'd like to see just do -- to get us moving again. Is to eliminate the corporate tax because. Corporations don't pay taxes people do they always special -- in the summer. I'd like to suspend the capital gains tax for at least two years and then take it that -- may -- even down 5%. There's an estimate that there over eleven trillion dollars of money is sitting offshore tax havens. You have only after they came back the United States on national action. In the the stock market the economy would take off like a rocket. And I also want to change the external pressure but tax system which I had talked about earlier. I think we need to move to a taxed like -- actually a fair tax. And it's just kept taxes are too complicated company spent too much try time trying to figure out ways to avoid taxes. And it it really affection impacts the bottom line so. And I'd like to move to -- irked that the actions somewhere everybody has skin in the game. I think we do those three things. Our economy will become number one in the world once again.

Well I always say that they you know the generals understand the situation on the ground a lot better than I do. And I I think that whenever Petraeus or whoever is in charge. At the time I think whatever they say we should all of their military placed. And expertise. So I again I I'm always says supportive of our our efforts overseas but I think we we can no longer work to be. Policeman to the world I think we had some serious financial problems. I also believe that there right makes might rather than vice Versa. And I think that our prestige will look to improve around the world. And it will. -- have a reputation like we used to have. If we first -- financial -- order and and and stop trying to be policeman to the rest of the world.

That makes sense now with your background in agriculture. And plants and all. Do you believe in global warming.

I -- I do not I think go all of that is based on -- flawed. A model which -- not been validated fact it's based on a computer model for gosh -- I think too many people have jumped on board the bandwagon because it's federal funding. And it's just becomes such a politically correct issue you know. One of my degrees Charlie Asian plan social sciences so I understand the carbon cycle better than most and forgot -- carbon is the element of white. Carbon dioxide is caviar for plants they take the carbon dioxide -- turn into oxygen. Are there wouldn't be light on this planet but wasn't for carbon dioxide choke -- Carmen is getting a bad rap. Our carbon is not the problem effect if there is any global warming and there is some but. You know there's also an opposing theory that she sidestepped articulate theory which says that -- solar energy is being reflected back and in -- based. -- college. I graduate with my first -- 1970 before it went into the service. And I remember there's an article in Newsweek that talked about the impending nice shape show. You know back in the early seventy's we were talking about you know on new -- stage and now we're talking about you know you're trying to a crisp well. You know when I wish a greenhouse grower many years ago after I graduated from UMass and immersed. It and it is so common today green houses have carbon dioxide in objectors that put carbon dioxide into the environment. What that does it increases. Not only the size of plant spreading it increases the growth rate as well. In fact many agronomist. Done a lot of our re church controlled experiments. And we know that certain crops. Right now the amount of carbon dioxide in the -- spears 385 parts per million. That's an infinitesimal. Amount. And we know that if we double that amount up. Almost 800 perch from certain crops will double and triple in production. That's the kind of positive impact it would have. With that we would be able to eat the the teaming and growing population. Of the world. So. You know. I think it's I've initiation science. I am a scientist I believe in action evidence I have not seen any action evidence that indicates that the the earth is warming the oceans are not rising. We've seen no significant increase in the in the oceans. In and rising in the oceans and again there's there's opposing theory that particular theory that. Is -- Opposition to the the green -- theory.

But I play again I think they just outlined some of them that the current model is unsustainable. So number one you gotta get somebody in there who has the courage. Two. Detail the issues -- and he felt certainly common sense solutions to those issues and I have earlier. Less government fewer taxes term limits we have to many per politicians in Washington and they are the cause of many more problems. We've got to get our financial house in order we can't do without like spending more money that's what Martin frank wants to do and I say let fishermen fish. Barney Frank is presumably -- Such an important business in this district especially in New Bedford where two billion dollar industry. And we're really just pointing Vietnam picture man. And Barney Frank has done nothing at all for the fishermen here in Massachusetts.

And were we have all those videos and anybody you'll be able to signal and use them well so be very useful idiot and I don't -- a negative campaigning. That is just the oh absolutely I agree when you're giving people the facts. That's certainly isn't negative campaigning. And I said many times that that Barney Frank has been one of the best campaign volunteers because everytime he opens his mouth which has some general. We see a video of them it helps. It helps our campaign.

Well but -- story is thinks Kevin -- I've -- Barney now and he voted of course for the stimulus plan in all this other silly Obama stuff. And now he's criticizing -- bomber administration he's trying to have it both ways.

All the windows blown out -- now. That's right it you know Barney Frank has always had the ability to work that support issues and it. We get off the track and -- to -- you know focus he recently said that. That the current administration has been too easy on on the Bush Administration that are responsible for much of our problems and that. That's Barney Frank so fallback position if if he. Can't. And it's an important issue that's right now illegal immigration as a hot button issue. There are a number changes that we need to make it or applause I have one common sense that a solution work. If for a national ghost who. A medical shot her a clinic or hospital or health care for churches we find out where they're from. We built a country of origin they don't pay as we take it out at 18 I just. And we reimburse the hospitals in medical personnel -- course that's one way we can tighten that up but we have -- Not only control illegal immigration and reporters but we have to -- illegal immigration. Most -- our ancestors that came here at the legal way. Native American Indians that came here via the bering straits. They tell us. And you know I I appreciate that. People have come here and respect our -- our ocean and go through the proper camps.

Well you know I'd say most of the people of Massachusetts agree with you I mean look at the -- Jeff Perry amendment 70%. Of the people in Massachusetts. Support the Jeff -- amendment which said. No government benefits. For illegal immigrants pretty visceral stuff. And of course I'm sure Barney Frank would be against that the Democrats killed that in the legislature I don't know why but they did then that's just the way things are going on. Okay so we've touched on illegal immigration in you want real -- repeal Obama care you've got a plane to get the economy going. Sum it up in a minute here why people should vote for -- for congress.

Well I've been at this show up for -- might have a lot of experience they have a lot of wisdom I. Been a successful businessman I have had a business for thirty years they had the payroll. Technical at which agents right after the church there's such an eight. We -- business. I think I'm best equipped I think they have again the experience I have that many solutions them. Our problems my opponent really has an -- and Mr. Big solutions. I'm -- got to go to Washington and that makes them. A much needed changes that on the and that's that reducing the size of the federal bureaucracy. Or -- and improving our approach to tax system. And there are implementing turmoil that's and by that I mean two terms Charlie and no pension. And I wanted to represent the people that the where congressional district. I'm going to catch them -- but I think -- encourage them to come out well I'm very that it September 14. And have please get involved in our campaign we're going to stand out all over the district.
