And as the election nears here in the fall we're gonna try to keep you informed about the election about what's happening not just in Massachusetts and but also mean New Hampshire Vermont and -- some Rhode Island stuff as well. They be able Connecticut hello I don't know about that so much. However today we are joined by the former attorney general. Of the state of New Hampshire and she is the -- most likely she has some opponents but she's the a favorite to become a Republican candidate. For the Senate seat that's being vacated by Judd Gregg. He's retiring Kelly a -- is what this in the studio. And I Kelli thanks for being with us here and now we are show well it's great to be here we today how I. And if you wanna talk to -- Kelly they ought to where -- from New Hampshire elsewhere you can do so. She is she'd been ahead in every poll I think that's been taken so far overwrought. The the congressman who I Iowa's column to pour millions Bernie Sanders Paul Hodes. He's. He he says he's got some problems he's already he's -- is already running negative balances in the hunt against you.

He is RD running negative ads against me. He hasn't had anything positive to say about his own records so instead he's running. Negative ads against me even though we still haven't had the Republican primary that's on September 14 I think he doesn't -- run against me how -- that's what's gone on.

Well the EO Kelly I was I was hoping that you know you got a big endorsement yesterday and I was hoping you gonna bring it bring her with few you know.

Well I try I tried to get Governor Palin to come Whitney yes today but does she is still up in Alaska.

Yeah she says she endorsed -- though -- are you are -- you'll mama grizzly does that make you an official momma grizzly.

I am an official mama grizzly but moss that basically -- granite -- now.

Now now how did you how did you run into was syrupy a -- to endorse you.

Well I was actually had a chance to meet her down at a breakfast in Washington in May so met her briefly there and I asked for her support. And obviously she looked at my record and announce her support yesterday on Facebook and I'm very honored to have it.

Couldn't I couldn't believe this 11 epic of the paper and it's said that she made these terrible mistakes and terrorize her endorsement. And should do the biggest mistakes seem to be that that she'd she thought that Kodiak Island was the largest island in the United States as opposed the second largest violent in the United States boy that's. That's a real got you by somebody.

It is astounding how the media jumped on everything I think she says and there there have been others as we talked about earlier that I have made some serious gaps in the media has not. Hold them as accountable as -- heard. They've done with her.

Thinking about Joe Biden and his memories of the and of for the president Roosevelt's fireside chats on TV in 1929 during the Great Depression. Yeah yeah I was suppressed but there are millions of.

a million of them that I think you know of everything that she says it's jumped on it is because it you know she's brought so much enthusiasm to the Republican Party. And she's a conservative icon I'm I'm really honored to have her support.

Now why you you all you prosecuted you do or you you -- when you with the attorney general you actually prosecuted some cases. You prosecuted the case where the guy from Dorchester or -- killed a a bicycle policeman Manchester correct.

I did that was a case where. Michael -- US from Dorchester he murdered officer Michael -- was a decorated Manchester police officer former marine a real hero. And murdered him in the streets of Manchester. And we pursue that case is a death penalty case seeking the harshest penalties available on our New Hampshire -- He was a career criminal and killed a decorated police officer who is senate trying to keep people safe in Manchester it was a it was an awful case.

And thanks for getting to a good jury together that would convict him even though they yet defense try to strike call listeners to -- how we car show in it was a Hillsborough County from for from the jury spool.

It was Susan Hillsborough county and one of the questions on the questionnaire was do you listen to how -- car show.

I took as a badge of honor Kelly you should take that it adds about how right. 18774694322. If you wanna talk to Kelly hey Archie is the Republican mostly recruit what most likely Republican candidate against against Paul. Holds who's the democratic congressman two terms since 2006 election of the New Hampshire is guiding New Hampshire really gonna swing back big time this year.

Well I think campaigning now for a year and I can tell you that people are angry at the direction -- countries taking. And people in New Hampshire concerned about the out of control spending in Washington game on -- money that we're barring from foreign countries. And getting our economy back on track where small business state says the small business owners are the engine of our economy where I'm also part of a small business family but. There's a lot of anger out there because we're going in the wrong direction right now I think it's gonna be a good year for Republicans.

Let's take some calls for Kelly -- the former attorney general of the stated New Hampshire and -- issues now what it running for the Senate in New Hampshire to succeed Judd Gregg keep. Keep that seat a Republican seat it's important that towards keeping -- you know with the Republicans are gonna have a chance to war. At least get the Senate back in a and in a more -- On more moderate direction if not take over completely they gotta keep every seat.

That's absolutely true and and -- Greg has been a really strong advocate. Speaking out about the deficit and the debt and the financial was -- this country. And this is an important one because we need at a minimum balance of power how -- to stop some of the things that are happening in Washington that are really bankrupting our country.

18774694322. Patrick your next with how how we car and Kelly they ought to go ahead Patrick.

Job no idea. In general are nice to chart -- you are going to be very shortly related to the tunnel at -- Dig -- sometimes doesn't allow searched all that restrict what Billy and I I'd be given to clarity. I'm -- I'm not -- beyond that attorney general knows what criticism are senator brown is getting. I recently am wondering whether she's going to be 41 horse you gonna be sixty. Which regards the criticism that Scott Brown has gotten lately and it certainly showed that are relevant to what -- and Manchester. I'm currently show exactly the way it Scott Brown sounded. Striking all the right trying to beat angered people have to keep party. Are right on down the line and then I am quite honestly we've been let down a lot of us -- by the vote. The votes of our senator brown. We are allowed to go play you don't -- that they electorate that but you bolted out. Type -- Republican -- here.

Patrick before I before I let go Kelly answer I would just say yeah beef before you -- decide. You if you think that she's some kind of rhino. I'd go on the Internet and read up on Paul votes. Okay in again it comes out they'll come down make it you think come what you think Marcia Coakley was a liberal. Paul Hodes is a moon bats moon but leave me so you all -- that's that's my answer but you go ahead and answer -- Kelly.

Well I can tell you that I certainly on the unemployment is -- today I would've agreed. I was sender brown on that and that we need to pay for that was. I certainly would agree that we extend benefits that we finding a way to pay for it and it was a reasonable proposal on the -- used the unspent stimulus money you do that. And when it comes to financial regulatory reform I would've disagreed with him on that vote. Because that bill does not deal with Fannie and Freddie. It also. Is going to harm we've had some real concerns from our community banks. And those of the banks that are -- dealing with small businesses and really understand the community and dated because the problem the financial crisis and unfortunately. I've heard real concerns from people in New Hampshire about the impact on community banks I would not have voted for that bill. Thanks for the call Patrick Trevor you're next with Howie Carr and Kelly -- go ahead Trevor.

Yeah I am Leo long term president New Hampshire and I am certainly gonna support you. But I guess I just thank concern I've been have you already. You know the opposition to that walking and and it just some bully other guy go to these so far wing left wing not and you ought to -- the union bugs are out support not. Yeah out of is cited energized I hope you're prepared for what they're gonna bring it. There's no bell. I'm believe what you say I guess one last point I'd like to see -- in. Committed Democrat what they're Democrats had done to this state this --

thank you so much about feedback in your absolutely right. There we need to make sure that we keep up the site and Paul -- is RD running negative attack ads against me the union leaders called the fall sixteen sentinels called them falls. And other gonna play that game because they've got nothing positive to say he has nothing positive to say about his record. But when you look at his record he's very alignment Nancy Pelosi he's not an independent voice for the state in New Hampshire. You know he voted for the the government option a government takeover of our health care system drastic spending we have to make sure that he's not our next United States senator because. He's not gonna get us in a fiscally responsible path. And he's not aligned with people in New Hampshire when the social lives in New Hampshire. He went to college in New Hampshire he's actually from new York and so I think that since college he's lived there.

Lional you're next with how -- car and -- ARI the republic. Yes.

But also for extra help -- off the -- We're not gonna have an ugly primary --

Well I hope not you know I I think we should be talking about the issues. In the primary and our records and experience. As a that's what I plan to focus on in this primary.

Hey I appreciate it take care. I edged Johnny -- next with Howie Carr and Kelly -- all the former attorney general of New Hampshire she was appoint your first reported by a Republican and then -- the Democrat -- you.

I was originally appointed by governor Craig Benson and then I was three appointed by governor lynch.

Do you think they'll think she made a mistake now.

You know I think that I performed as attorney general is a strong independent attorney general and that's what that position should do in our state enforcing our laws.

I just mean creating a new chaotic a powerful candidate to run against hodes follows probably feels that idea to go ahead Johnny.

Are already up. Comrade poles voted for cap and trade comrade holds voted for the help get above goal. -- all it would explode just like you said Kelly you need to go. I'd support you completely. What we need to talk about it. You do need to re getting it built. If Scott had not a leg and a dog he should go out and or Maine tonight all that I am bad debt. It's like a Palestinian woman on September 11 2000 -- on November back.

Well I I appreciate you saying you're absolutely right he voted for captain taxi voted for the government take ever health care system. And it's a very important election so I hope you get out and vote.

Thanks Johnny Ryan your next with how we card Kelly they ought be a Republican candidate for a senator in New Hampshire.

Welcome back. Kelly got a question I thought I read that. Yeah who all ad supported. -- the Supreme Court nominees Sotomayor. And can you tell us where you stand sort of -- with the flu or anomalies they can.

what are they concerns as when I was attorney general Larry in the case of for the United States Supreme Court defending our parental notification law. And you know -- I'm the only one industry sees argued a case there. I'm really concerned about the politicization of the confirmation process I didn't like it when they did to justice Bork and I didn't like it when they were asking Justice Alito -- college. Where is college memberships were. I said I'd like to Sotomayor. Last summer. That I would have bus supported or based on her qualifications I have to tell you doesn't she's been and I have some real concerns. About some of the decisions that she rendered particularly the decision in the McDonald's case on Second Amendment Rights. With respect Elena Kagan I'm from a military family my husband served in the Iraq War he's an 810 pilot. And done he still serves as lieutenant colonel. And I I totally disagreed with the way she handled the recruitment issue when she was -- Harvard at Harvard. And I also is very concerned about her interpretation the commerce clause went up. Senator Coburn asked her about the commerce -- she's a very expansive view and that is the key issue. In the challenge going up to the health care bill or twenty states are challenging and I think there's some real constitutional concerns about that health care bill so I would not support Elena Kagan.

Yeah okay Ryan thanks 18774694322. Officer mark -- next with how we card Kelly may not go ahead officer mark.

Kelly nice to talk do you finally. You my former boss. I opposite her you didn't yet actor I want to thank you get what you did I'd be like -- Situation you can get very good speech at a funeral it was is but via bicycle on a diet and we all appreciate what you -- I didn't make it good does Senator Obama back to -- percent so what it's like -- what do the people -- ebonics one at all much we appreciate your analog source community.

Well thank you so much and thank you for what you do every -- to keep our safe safe it's tough job and we deeply appreciate -- for us.

Thanks officer mark Ed you're next with how we car and Kelly a -- go ahead yeah.

Good afternoon Kelly and our our guys today. Kelly I respect a lot of your positions. I have some concerns -- on to various bit. I think you need to be stronger arm and that's anti big government and the reaches of government in Q as a private businessman. I have a problem with the stake going after the doctors insurance fund money. It's just seems totally. The and correct way of doing that and which are stealing art on massive government spending and bureaucracies -- multiple levels of bureaucracy of government did -- or in its inefficient. And they're treating more government bureaucracy and it'll heighten -- inefficiency -- get a bad idea on that. -- cut the funding on that.

Well the reason I decided to get in this race a year ago is because I mean I've got two children my husband and I spent so much time yelling at our television and basically. We are expanding government into our lives in a way that we should not be so I think we need a more limited more accountable government when he fiscal responsibility. I support a bounce budget balanced budget amendment. And I think we need to cut back and that is gonna be my number one goal the United States senate so I agree with you. Fully that government is reaching too far into our lives in the prime example is the health care bill that was passed you think it's constitutional. I think it's got some real constitutional problems because. If under the commerce clause they can region and tell you have to purchase an insurance. From the federal level and mandate to small businesses and a way that they are doing. Then what can't the government tell us what to do right.

I think we don't know why they're now saying it is a tax even though. He's saudis on record a million different places -- last year saying it's not attacks I mean they're having -- If you did there having to change their story to to do anticipate that it's gonna come up before the Supreme Court.

Well how they changed their story multiple times I agree. But they're changing their story because they know that their position is -- a defensible on this isn't overreach by the government. They've also changed their story about the fact that this bill is deficit neutral. CBO is now come out and admitted that it's not deficit neutral. It's CC MS has come out and talked about the premium increases that are businesses are gonna see under the -- and and all of that is the opposite of what they said.

But remember no one under the under making under 250000. Dollars will get a dime of tax increase. He didn't say -- More than a dime but they won't get a dime that's what he said right.

Well we know that's not the case because there's massive tax increases in this bill two for our small business owners and that's who we're talking about. They're trying to put people to work and so we have a landscaping snow plowing business that's -- my husband does and his -- employees we're still trying to figure out you know. How's he gonna be able to afford the insurance for this bill coming forward.

Well if you if you up to fifty right then you that are really kicks and so how many how many businesses are just gonna be thrown if this thing survives. How many businesses are just gonna be frozen fifty.

Well that's the real concern because they're businesses talking about wind paid a fine and said he keeping insurance for their employees. In this this bill takes us in the wrong direction and the concern in our family is just my husband does provide. Health insurance and that the costs are gonna goes up so much that it's gonna be difficult to continue to do that.

Mike you're next with Howie Carr and Kelly a -- the one of the --

A compliment your courage. I like terror. Current -- that. It that way in the mentality. Among -- Japanese. That disks Sarah Palin is doing you're pretty sure in air support. Narrowly got to reassure well we yes. When a person to ask a question. You have a comment with the portrayal you know it's become -- defended. -- just civil court going to -- let -- well would you rather have. You know licking out but Donald Duck any. The fact of the matter -- get something. But to have people that supported you know he would mighty but with -- It'll you don't carry -- to bow down and we return to war based in fact against these people now I want shall we. Do Irish back tool utterly. That you would just say look big guy BitTorrent staying well over warrant which should keep an eye of the guests.

I would've voted for the financial reform bill I'm just telling you I mean how many bad votes which you've got not a Marcia Coakley that's that's my point you know I I don't. I think that's that this is crazy to hold us Scott Brown to some kind of you know what 1999. And that 991 hundreds percent pure. Standard I mean you're not gonna get this out of anybody's. Thanks for the call -- one -- and you know why I know we all calls on the air about it you know from not just from Massachusetts but from my New Hampshire and Maine as well. Because they they followed the race very closely but. I think it's a very small number of people that are that are really really angry at Scott Brown I I think you know although both those poll shows the most popular politician in Massachusetts. One and he used to run he you know if you if you get elected you don't have to face the voters again until what 2016. Right. The six year term that's right he's he's he has to face the voters in.

years and we're Garrity ranks and attack ads against him -- I saw something on New Hampshire television he -- is the yes they have. Only follow these people who -- you would pony tails and you know hash pipes well I voted through Blake amid I have voted -- god brown does not look insert right yet you voted for Scott -- sure you're -- Matt Matty are next with Howie Carr and Kelly they ought go ahead Matty.

High Value Line kind first time thank you hi Kelly. I now leave it alone do have always hoped that you would read for the position. However. And then very concerned that they don't really know we used cam on. Amnesty for illegal alien Angie haven't come out and out yet and said where -- stands. And I know what Kelly says about Scott Brown. We don't want Scott Brown we New Hampshire that go back to being a conservative state I was born here are people think other north and the state I was born and Manchester. I'm gonna end up a Canadian border as a getaway is my last season have moved into this state and New Hampshire. And turned it around until a democratic state we don't want -- those of us who were born and bred here we bought a conservative state that could. What town I'm -- do it I think you can win. I wanna hear what you have to say about what you stand for and what you gonna do for New Hampshire.

Are right Matty well having been born and bred New Hampshire I want you it's I want you now I'm against amnesty. And I support the Arizona law. And I think that they've got a real public safety issue down there we have to secure our borders enforced our existing immigration laws and I support English as the language of our country.

Thanks Matt -- are you satisfied she's got 18774694322. -- in my gonna see you what the at the -- hamburgers with how we event on a Saturday July 31 it's got the globe by and so in such a dithering upstate.

Howie I would not wanna miss a burger --

We'll bring the French Fries you oh great excellent the on global good -- boat tied bomb cancers are row welcome as well. Rick you're next with Howie Carr and Kelly a -- go ahead --

Well yeah I'd ask a question you know all went well with but healthcare debate and vote that that took place. My understanding -- a lot of people call their representatives due to what they're not they're discussed in their disdain and they're they're opposition to this bill. And yet representative still voted or. And I agree they voted. Are only the bits they'd voted with their heart what they firmly believe -- hundred different. However I would like to know given this -- similar scenario. How would you -- if you firmly believe in your heart that something was right. Well doors -- so of information provided you're also. Via telephone -- Internet. Text email whatever it.

Voters were against that how would you vote would you vote your conscience or Google or the way your constituents -- about well Rick let's just be clear about this vote on health care bill I don't think that anything to do with conscience I think it had to do with party line. And anyone you elect the facts on the health care bill. Would have said this isn't their right vote and that's why people were calling and they were concerned about the government expansion of government the sustainability of it. And certainly I would listen to my constituents I think he's -- very important -- your constituents. And that's I'm elected to serve I'm elected to represent you. And not to take the attitude -- I know better than you.

Thanks for the call -- Paul your -- with Howie Carr and Kelly they -- go ahead Paul Ers Steve go ahead --

Still -- Steve I just want to wear a skirt Tillie K York. All our group of former. As the attorney general. Regarding acacia we're there was substantial evidence and under garbage to work. Prosecute them look in order to -- talking particularly well -- because it looked just trichet that should cheers. Never did anything above it compare hospital onto the the next attorney general.

Well Steve that that's certainly me. The case that I understand is still pending in the attorney general's office and it was one where you know the medical examiner had to render an opinion. On the causes of death that that wasn't one where. Foul play was involved but I know that it continues to be looked so I think it beyond that I really probably can't. Speak any further to -- my duties as attorney general very very seriously. And you have to rely on certainly the medical evidence is given to you by the examiner but I also know that their -- still continues to be in the office.

Kelly they are we got to move on but we thank you for coming down here and congratulations on your endorsement by -- law I'll see you were a week from Saturday at. Hamburgers with how excellent Howie thanks for having me and I'll bring the Fries okay great thanks a lot. I'm Howie -- what matters most about.
