Here's what the folks at Rasmussen who we all trust because they called the Scott Brown race first and called it right. Democrat incumbent Deval Patrick continues to cling to the lead in Massachusetts three way contest for governor. Regardless of which Republican is in the race. The latest Rasmussen Reports tells telephone survey had Patrick at 35. Charlie Baker thirty to ten K -- 1914%. Undecided. When businessman Christine bios who we -- Christie on yesterday. Is the Republican Patrick gets 34. K -- gets thirty in Christie gets nineteen. Patrick picked up similar support in November just after K go into the race but baker is running slightly stronger now. Scott browns upset in the GOP senate victory. Clearly hasn't rubbed off on either over the Republicans since neither is surging in support suggesting the race for now. Is still largely. A referendum. On the incumbent. Patrick carries a plurality of female voters and -- for the three way match ups. Male voters prefer baker but they go for K hill when Christie is the Republican in the contest. Similarly -- voters not affiliated that's all you independence that we talked about all the time with either party. Like baker but five favor Kate -- Christie's the candidate. -- hill takes now this is really key. Anywhere from sixteen to 20%. Of the Democrat vote. He's got to do better than that he's got to get 25% of the Democrat vote like Scott Brown was able to do. Speaker earns 57%. Of the GOP vote. Boy Charlie has to to a lot better than 57%. He's got to get 9095%. Of the GOP vote. While Christie just gets 40% of the vote in his own party. Now this is interesting. 39%. Currently approve of the job Patrick is doing is governor. And that's up five points from November but 61 still disapprove. These findings include 14%. Who strongly approve. And 37%. Who strongly disapprove. That's where the intensity is that you can see only 14%. Feel strongly approving of the governor. 37 don't and those are votes he's not gonna get. With -- baker is viewed very favorably by 17%. -- very favorably by six. K -- very favorably by ten and speaker they really don't know yet he's kind of soft what else to they have the up. In Massachusetts support for the health care plan working its way through congress is slightly stronger than nationally. 46%. In in the states favor the planned fifty to oppose it so. Here in Massachusetts. President Obama if you haven't gotten the message. Even in liberal Massachusetts. He has even gone up more in people's estimation that's fantastic. Is the media paying too much attention to Scott Brown. Shows that only -- one the 2% of the nation's voted strongly approve of the way Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty to read percent strongly. Disapprove. Giving the president. And approval index of minus. 21. So he's 21. In the negative and the folks at Rasmussen say. That matches the lowest approval index yet recorded. For this president. These are devastating numbers for the president of the United States. But for some reason he's not getting the message for some reason he's out there are still pushing his health care bill. He's going out to Missouri you know what's happening in the story the candidate that's running for the US senate as the -- comes out to ms. Horry. She's heading for -- she's heading for Washington she doesn't even want to be in the state when the President's Day year. It's a disaster. In I was just looking at all the national polling in race after race the Ohio senate race the Republicans head. The Illinois governor race the Republicans ahead the bill and the Ohio governor's race the Republicans ahead. Every where now Republicans are ahead simply because they're standing up to the president. Scott Brown came out today and he said one of the reasons he won was because he stood up to the president on health care. Yet we have people here in Massachusetts continually saying oh no of this is that good -- year we should support the president. We know John Kerry's gonna be voting for that bill we know that Scott Brown's gonna vote against it. And we know that all ten members of our congressional delegation. Bill Delahunt who's leaving us. Not going to be in congress much longer Niki Tsongas eighty Markey John Tierney. All of them are gonna be voting for. The president health care bill and yet a majority of the people here in Massachusetts oppose it a huge majority around the country. And he is dragging them down and down and down further. And it's just not health care there's a lot of things going on in the Obama administration. There are just hurting them all the time we'll talk about Eric Holder. It's Obama gonna reverse him we'll talk about this new amnesty immigration plan that the Obama folks are -- up. It's almost like they have a death wish. Could they be it's almost like they're taking polls and they're saying. Well that this is really unpopular let's go forward with it. Everybody around them keep saying they have to moderate they have to get things better under control. Not working for the old bomber administration.
