Massachusetts. All right now as you know. There is another election coming up in November and many candidates have been emboldened or in some cases not rambled on like Marion -- touched. Can -- a they are writing on the wall I believe is the usual phrase here. And so one of the candidates who may or may not be emboldened to seek a higher office in the fall elections is senator Bob have -- and he's a Democrat from -- And he lives in the congressional district that has been representative for the last stuff fourteen years or so by bill Delahunt. From Quincy. And that we just wanted to check with Bob to have 1 that I am Ryan Miller guy who stake in a bar running senator have -- thanks for being with us here about how -- car show.

Oh okay so yes there's -- in the district. But it's made near enough to its near enough to most of us that we can get down there to Christine dysfunction facility at fox.

I thought you well see now you're anticipating my question. Yeah are you are you running are you not running as a as a candidate for congress.

You know it bothers me how we as -- a listener to your show already you know -- who obviously -- politics. Before I was elected and after I was elected when you know -- interview prospective candidates Mississippi's -- emerging Mitterrand I hate that cliche I really do. But I would be you know I'm being honest tonight when I tell you that certainly I was one of those people it was emboldened by the results it's obviously something you've looked at. You know -- serving in the state senator another office. Look at obviously opportunities when they might come up and I expect that Saturday before the election was Scott on the -- We needed just tore through most of the attempt congressional district and I'll tell -- it just clamoring. Or change from people. And certainly would statewide voters especially so in the tenth congressional district when you look at the results and what I saw that weekend. What that demand for change and and I'm certainly interested in indeed taking a look at it right now and probably have a decision in the next within the next two weeks it has the most.

Because you know we're gonna have a month later on but Jeff representative Jeff Perry says he'll have a decision in in less than two weeks whether he's gonna run and and I I don't know so I'm just trying to sort this thing out whether it's gonna be you or hammer both of you running against each other.

Well get an NHL he had been Joe Moore show and and both great guys I I loved guest Perry who worked with him on a lot of stuff these this super candidate. Come tribunal not a part of the district. Joe was early into this district but if you know Ali Joe as a friend I would be only legislator in nineteen. 92 to actually support John Malone so I go back.

Good clearly senator have -- want it actually was. The fifth -- you know what it Ronnie came in who ran the administration right.

You literally run the administration.

I don't know I don't know but all his former staff and had great working relationship a lot of those people that I met through that campaign was not a bad career move whatsoever. And I know regret doing what I get every night I went with my heart to chime what I thought was best. So.

So what it what is the what what are going to be the deciding factors were already hearing you know people are calling in and ripping you up on this street on this show was as well as other shows I'm sure.

All well actually no I didn't hear anyone written at your show but a must not listening at that particular take. -- yet comes with the territory but I do think that if I get into this race how different some things with the other. Potential candidates. You know I bring some think the people they don't bring to the table. The ability to actually win this thing in November given worms situated geographically the appeal that demonstrated. Elections. Not only got to earn the votes are Republicans but independents Democrats have that's strong support from Democrats like it Democrats call me now some of whom are. Significant elected officeholders in my district offering their support. And if you look at the track record elect -- got had a pretty good run down here and have beaten some pretty significant candidates and you know including.

Including his. I said to include Bob -- a hard time believing that Linda yes and.

Other candidates that have gone on to bigger and better at things like state representative Jim -- well look pristine by no sort you know. What some haven't done on a bigger better thing. But I don't like the Democrats from Chile's -- it's. Well you're like beating incumbent Democrat sitting -- beat the vice chairman of ways and means and I was falling a little. Talk about had to appeal to Democrats Republicans and independents out here and CL UB -- all we -- in this -- and I'll look at the -- And I'm pretty good pretty well situated would like congressional district how -- in my router in the big anchor city Quincy. And I think it I would cause a lot of problems. Product candidates in a primary would strengthen all --

So what would you tell Jeff Perry and Jo Malone.

Well in all they can do they want I'm not gonna tell them do many -- everything had to make a decision that's best for them and hopefully best for the party and if there are at least that's fine and and and you know -- beat -- else what what comes out of this with -- nomination they're both they're both good guys. And I've made it's not a bad thing they have invested Republican primary is former. State senator Ed Burke once said we would debating the health care bill let's put this walking into the bottle right. --

How do you think -- gonna run for reelection.

Well it's my theory on that Howie I I think obviously you know. Bill who by the way I urge all along they've only -- that bill Delahunt that is billion times because we work with his office. I won't say on a daily basis is certainly almost on a weekly basis. And I've got a good relationship with bill -- and I certainly don't agree with him on a lot of issues very a great amount of issues he has taken some craters quote that I admire but. Generally speaking up I couldn't be too. Further from him off on the ideological spectrum. At least 69 years old I think he's had a decent run elect orally and I think city I think he's been looking at something else Seattle raised any money. But the big big big booming young Joe Kennedy the third or fourth degree is more or whatever. And and I called it it's something that he's been looking at least making the rounds around here I think it play and was in the presidential year 32. We made it to try to -- the support dropped to less often am so. We could come on one of the Republicans here and in an -- it and hopefully be an upset the apple got a little bit. Okay -- now we want more one more thing if I may you know as you know I got you covered covered me when I first and in this race when nobody. But I had a chance in the Republican primary and a general election. And upset you know as an upset both of those election that.

Right right to -- pretty strong politicians bolt who outspent me 51 of both of those races from the blue collar guy. From the South -- have lived in this district my whole life. And as you know I operated truck repair business in Quincy also say is -- badly. -- from the South Shore I don't drive a truck but I know how to extract. Side depicts Washington --

Campaign -- looking at this and talking queue up but I think you are financed game and the response has been really good -- you know I wrote the book majority -- building my name might be and I. I think -- second -- grassroots organization and I don't look at this district dead. It seems like. Those very parts of the district decay and the islands and integrate plummet very got another part of the district decay and down there an important part of this district then. I think emigrate get an epic got a lot to opera would -- important background will be bikes can't there's not just -- to legislative and all the house of -- This stand up and vote against the you universally mandated health care -- they have illegal immigration and I show a lot about it and so I have ambitions I think that they can. Be best served in Washington issues that I care about have to do would be actions of congress and inaction of congress so we're trying to figure that.

Some aren't you -- that you think you'll have a decision by tomorrow who's gonna go.

Well no I don't think that's realistic doubled and have a decision by the mob I think in the next week -- bogged down two weeks I think that's probably realistic goal for him. What we're gonna no real boon it's not to be months it's gonna be weeks. And if in the primary you know -- there's -- other candidate besides myself for target not a and the good thing -- I decide Iran and everybody decides to run as they are all that they immaculate they're all and all the -- district.

You think it'll all most what do you -- they're running in the middle split installing the splitting the Quincy both the Norfolk County --

Well that's the reality of the potential -- die -- live on the gate and the -- you know has the most 64000. Voted to look at the ground race and then. You know -- and deployment and move north. And it becomes more battleground but. If they're splitting the 33000 votes from another part of the district that Ron got a -- Look my 64 and then in -- in the middle of the district then. There's one non self and for -- I think the dynamics GR treat worked well for -- democratic primary. And I have to make my decision. I don't all built on try to I have to make my.

My last question for you -- that you think you're gonna be running its dull -- there are some guy named Kennedy.

I don't know there are other -- and separate the Zimmerman Bob -- I have to make my decision and I'm making my decision regardless that it has been hell on. And making my decision is still the primary not after the -- will be primary up to its own will be a board game here. All the liberal incumbent and I'm ready and I'm the here and I -- just trying to see if we can put all pieced together -- in the coming days -- then lawmakers that they embody the way. I don't eat -- that rational district devoted I have a real choice it to smear it bought Atlantic. -- have a real job.
