If you prefer to email us -- king. -- over to the computer and email -- questions. Just as a result MD dot com we'll try to remind me every Kenyan have to put an -- you don't want to. Lauren my patient care coordinators sitting patiently at the phones waiting for calls -- a little bit later let us know how things are going. But you can call Lawrence she's sitting in the office at 617964. Of 1440 she's available. You can ask -- some just general information question to -- throughout the -- has a boyfriend so goes an accident. Are you can just call. To talk with a tissue left top and she's great on the phone. If you for some reason just call out from under good to know about this show are really excited about it and to listen to us for the first time I wanna know more. You can go to our kill website WR TO dot com and you can look at the audio on demand. Section there's a bunch of world shows we have really the restrictions that old show should Israel and that -- but the previous and yes there's a twelve or fifteen shows. And you can learn a whole bunch -- really good stuff that we've talked about before. Hello things were really excited about is our preferred provider network. Which is a networks that were developing. To help all your listeners it's -- network because because people often called and asked about things we don't do vascular procedures are. Teeth whitening procedures or -- looking for recommendations -- your revenues for other physicians one of the things we get a lot of penile augmentation questions which we don't do that we can we refer people to. So all these kinds of things yeah absolutely. So we're developing its network of people that I've personally know who who are really -- if not notice that over an office all the things all different things you know we'll say we're searching for Iraq's report with some people now we got a network complacent and that kind school was set exes is on that that list. -- that a second but it's a list of providers that I personally know I comparison to vouch for their abilities are excellent physicians are chiropractors are dentists are. Other a subpoena healthcare affiliated individuals. And if you're looking for some under the skin care in your area or does so whatever you're looking for a go onto my website it's still a work in progress we've got a lot of work left to do lot of police and it started. And we certainly are getting a filter that many different showed much lower than.
And a range now where it's. Kind of -- what you're looking for rather than it just being a list all together of everybody that's who signed on so it. I actually spent some time of the day looking through it now it's getting quite comprehensive.
Yeah it seems like every day or two are making new changes to deter an updated via our listeners the best providers that there's a couldn't get that a look at -- actually I haven't even introduce you -- this is Kathy Syria has my co host every week pretty much. And -- is a registered nurse and she's an expert in facial rejuvenation. And she also is my office nurse and all around good person welcome to show -- well thank you once again for having me tenure here with your daughter. Michelle sell -- pay up she's here that like to welcome Michelle she can't talk just have a microphone -- to -- and he's gonna get any air fault today -- shares sitting here. And Michelle just got a job as a teacher and she's -- in the bill -- a Littleton school system yes Littleton congratulations. After two down one to go very bright and you're Providence college and had a great experience there as to year old sister. Great so yeah. Clinton a story via it is very lucky you know so. Com should we recap anything from last week or -- him -- waiting.
IE you know because we sometimes can get caught in recapping. I think we almost should. Introduce our -- are easy on super special I -- yeah I don't wanna put it off too long.
I'm not sure exactly how to start this because there's so push to talk about. Yeah it. We've got two very special guests who put kind of have to come to the show today and I guess if there -- a Hall of Fame. In this addicts they would both -- yeah definitely that call. And I don't know of the father son team is very mated to any of the professional major professional sports. -- saints but my mother daughter team has made it normally set excite the female version female version. I guess we'll be like that he has that guys that we're. But I guess once you if you never mentioned name Catherine. -- I was thinking it when I was home Catherine the great put him into my mind and ask questions. -- but I guess let's just first mention let's welcome to the show and they'll also try to describe -- it may be difficult thing to me because there's so much to say -- and -- and Katharine Heintz Catherine is -- That welcome to the show hey thanks again the pleasure to have both view we've known I've known you for a long time and I guess com -- with Catherine because you really started it all as far as I'm concerned when I first got into plastic surgery. In the girl the eighties. Do you already well established -- kind of already figured out stuff and and maybe just tell little while you're still US in my -- miss Emily founded the feel of -- certainly in this area and certainly I think in many ways nationwide and kind of put. Hispanics on the map to remember I'm live by says something about -- tuitions people who. As started out -- hair in care and -- facials and a search of sorts of things initially. But now the field has evolved into the point where you are integrating quite nicely with dermatologists and plastic surgeon he's gonna school. That is it is a state of the art in you know standard in the industry a sort of set the whole standard for the industry. But tell us a little bit about how you started in and really heavily now and have today so so good let's call it -- yeah. And -- in colonists it was 7266686. Given a go ahead please.
But -- started in 1960. Full. And then on a long time oh my goodness so I'm not gonna tell you how old I am now because I don't look that way you don't sound it there. Well and I really do think all the stuff that I've been a Guinea pig for in the electrical situation that we have an hour. Total tools today. Part of the reason why I don't look as old as I shouldn't. However -- so never ever really work today in my life I am crazy about the beauty business. And I was in the right place at the right time in 1960 people. Yeah and I'm. New pastry right and that if for I didn't ask -- And I was there for a good twelve years and in that twelve years. I had to go to. Some kind of licensing I really didn't have anything. Diana college degree but that didn't do things for me and I was a very. Surprised. Mother -- to children and no father. Nearly kind of laughed you know longer there are 215 so I had to validate where was she to do that -- trash -- I broke it daddy stepped in. Yeah I had to get I had to get some food honest. Plate so it all really began with having to go to hairdressing school. And it was like if you caught the -- you get in free if it was the most disgusting. Situation. And that. I made into -- it and I had to learn how to do hair which I actually had no interest in whatsoever and you know talent for a hybrid tech. But anyway 51964. I was in my first. Attempt to be. Me. Career woman in 1964. We only heard of India barely had anything. And -- nature but I really must say that Newbury Street in 1964. Was one of the most fascinating places everybody was somebody. From Boston yeah now it's very homogenized. And nobody's compressed when they've yet to. Interesting.
Hold us offers a good we're gonna go to the songs you cut does Sharon. I'm Ryan want to share welcomed the show with doctor show.
I accurate Hamlin moves until you. I'm very well you know I am I in getting Botox for quite awhile now and -- I have heard of try to act that. Is supposed to be bought it last seen. And she got -- you know that area.
Yes we do I'm assuming your talking about distort. And you know we we actually are very fortunate to have because Kathy Syria oh. -- Lewis is gonna talk a little bit about she's an expert in the Syria has actually just at a at a presentation -- Wednesday night. He didn't want to present issue Wednesday that two by two other nurses she's she's a teacher for a lot of these things so I'm gonna let her answer that question okay.
EL one thing that we had fanned out in terms of mine comparisons. That I've learned from Botox in to support them both. Toxins but dean. This -- did in head to head comparison. Did not really end up lasting longer like they promoted to be in there were some concerns about it that we've gotten into in terms of -- Have a little more diffusion. There's some issues over.
placement decisions important because sometimes if you included a certain place you don't want to showed go to another place so for example. You put it up near the in the eyebrows you don't want to diffuse into your eyes and have trouble with the opening her eyes and things have. The fusion is something that we're very concerned about any.
Right and I think that you know having said that. A lot of people the first Russia is always is or something less expensive and is there something that's gonna last longer and at the end of the day we found that really Botox. Is safer it's more predictable and you're gonna get a better results and that's men. Everything that I've kind of gotten from the science behind it.
And sharing you're going to hear about a number of other toxin type things coming out soon from other companies. That will again keynote challenge Botox and we'll all evaluate each one of those individually as they come along.
And I wouldn't run to discord. Until you knew that that inject -- was really it's completely different than injecting Botox itself this additional learning -- a huge learning curve so I'd want it to -- only go to some meat that had been doing a lot of that for quite some time.
I don't think based on what you're saying and I encourage eight guys they we.
Change in the office either I think Hannah Arnold or are simply knows full well that a little bit but we really don't wanna. Change to a system we have and where do you really know very hard to -- results -- But it's been study actually should probably tell share were on pace to be what's called diamond status for -- which is covering that. Stem cells and those types of both time and there are only fifty accounts in the whole country that are diamond status is only to a -- northeast and we're gonna be one of them. Right so we Buehrle got drew huge quantity in the constant we're very proud of that so look. We've gotten very good so anyway let's go back to Catherine and then he started and 64 emulator -- hunt oh and out.
It did yeah I guess on what. It's amazing again so you started -- nothing that -- this school. From and you -- I didn't have a school ahead how -- and a solemn crowd -- Allah what we called the men and in the first. A place right Daryn 39 it was really right near the Ritz. And the idea of what everybody who is anybody was of roundups and so first you're practitioner. Before you. Became interested in expanding and having an actual school actually I went right to. Going and getting in to be the first. It you can't attack and not now I was just trying to. Trying to get -- allies in place and I decided to go to Newbury Street had gotten a little money. Found an ex husband's grandfather movies and I was able to 10000 dollars was enough from you Donald Saunders who has owned the building was very good in that helped me to get it together and I have to say he was a big -- He believed did make room for some reason so and the fact lies that we started with two gals that I knew from. I had been Ed Jordan marsh and and standing behind the cosmetic counter for. And almost a year before they fired me. Because of course I couldn't. Do what they wanted me to do all the time I was very willful in those days and I had my own ideas and really felt terrible -- I think it was cellphone. That time yes but anyway. I'll that we had really was hairdressing. License yet. So I had to become a hairdresser first grade and then we never ever curled -- Always did was have a big box when they came into inspect Dennis Wright handled a few things did you do when they care dressings Allen. And we had nothing to do with that all we did when skin care and he and I did go to London actually end it was a funny. Funny nice wonderful English. Product called psych plaques of London and her -- like did and I think she still dies. And it says Elizabeth and I believe we're actually using that product in my talent because everything was English. The Beatles -- English earned him at every didn't have to look at the number of product lines we have today that compared to takes years ago.
Well we'll take a break in the second whom combat couldn't talk to and see how and in. Through tests that -- the torch had passed from the heritage and where is 617. 2666860. I'm doctor -- and this -- change your life doctor -- is a board certified plastic surgeon who's been in practice for nearly twenty years to set up a consultation with doctor -- and his talented staff. Call 6179641440. His office awaits your call this for nearly twenty years to set up a consultation with doctor -- and his talented staff. Call 6179641440. His office awaits your call -- 6179641440.
Welcome back. Listen to change you left out too soon thank you to join us. 61726666. Feet that's 61726666. You were talking about. Softens plastic surgery will take to show an injection anyone's take is he's got in Catherine -- 2003. Times schools aesthetics him to -- serial.
It's and we were talking a lot of that Tuscan care and facial rejuvenation we have a couple -- Botox and it's -- is it just so much to talk about in this field. And I guess -- Catherine talked a little bit about starting to feel really mentioned 64 and you are currently running the school and and they should just talk a little bit about the Catholic high -- someone of the the medical director there and I've I've known them for a long time and work with them and I've seen the kind of students that they turn out I can save as soon I would never hire anyone has solicitation hadn't gone Katherine hunt because they clearly have set the standard by which all your measure.
There's a lot of different types of recitations that -- at school is that right that's correct Kathy it thank you Joe you very much for that from. We feel we run the finest school and I always say you know I'm in the trenches all day long and I don't know any better than to really. On since I took over in 1996. To my mother's credit being the founder she really. Did step down established a name the -- the -- you have as the name started if we as she was a real visionary and really had that real dream of what it was going to be like and started and then I really got in there is an operations person I really wanted to put my brought more science to it. Because I truly believe. That's the the skin care industry in the study of -- is science based indefinitely any fluff anymore right with all the technology in all the ingredients we have at our hands and our disposal. It's you've got another science in order of house can functions what's going to affect the change and I truly say institutions they can train change the appearance of skin which we couldn't of said ten years ago.
So right you know when you're rubbing them like it was one size fits all year around for an hour or so to answer for our listeners of who may not know what an institution is maybe reduce the drive for them and tell them what you don't. How you trend and what kind of jobs again that's sort of circus so moralists trying to know what we're talking great.
I mean -- more commonly.
I'm confused with the anesthesiologist. When I feminist tensions are high they go you be a funny thing I now. -- destitution actually are trained in the study of the care of skin and it's with cosmetic preparations and again they're not pharmaceutical. On our school is accredited. By the state of Massachusetts as well as we have a very very high standard of accreditation from the Department of Education. We are credit where we have student loans that we run a 300 hour program which is to train. Individuals in basic a static that is what the state of Massachusetts requires. Both Catherine I speak nationally that we do not feel that is enough training. For anyone to be good at his tactics sure we have 600 hour program after the three which is advance to static where we teach aroma therapy advanced massage. Entry level glycol a gas appeals would lead appeals. We then have a 900 hour program which is response therapy that individual actually comes to the program and learns all sorts of hot stone therapy. Soothing sessions herbal wraps. I'm gonna relax -- have a -- those of the individuals that go to work and destination I splash canyon ranch -- more they're going to be camelback. -- that's where they see their -- going in the industry. And then we have our real masters program which is the 1200 hour which is the one I recommend anybody does very serious about integrating into the medical practice you can Joe you know all about the did you meet with my medical student at. They are the ones that really wanna work side by side with the doctors. Which is actually works I think to approach to produce a really. Perfect final product we integrate the institution during the -- care. After the event or any remote answering continue to do the -- I talked about that last week somewhat trying to get a full cycle for people -- just committing get a face if you actually have should have your skin get -- dad -- ready -- they sure well and and and I think Joe is always felt that way of some of the other plastic surgeons and dermatologists the Boston area you'll end up with -- result you'll also end up with a patient who keeps coming back. Time it's not just ten point that it's retention and it's not just for that big event and certainly our 1200 hour program. Those individuals -- making more money working integrated with medical profession as well as feeling that they are really doing more advanced work laser hair reduction. On deeper appeals and what we would do and what's commonly called a spa or salon. So today the opportunities for the institution are unlimited in terms of sales med spas working side by side with the plastic surgeons working with nurses. -- trolley just doctors. We just really Harry Wayne I went well it's what is it truly has looked really.
All that's offered just a second we're gonna go to that. The phones is cut timeline when -- I was gonna show us doctors have --
Ankiel I'm calling it compliment to both you and your gas I am today. FaceBook client has Catherine I think it's just Jews not you -- love -- it has recommended mini -- friend -- now also go. Professional professional your edification that just want to I've always had a good experience and doctor Ruth well I personally know two people who have. 10-Q for procedure is one of breast augmentation and can't say enough about that as well so my compliments but a good show.
I have OK you thanks so much caffeine thing you're referring to for your friends and we did not pay her to car you know which -- thank you -- Banks you know that free except one thing though that would 6172666868617. 26666. To give us a college journalist community I don't know I --
Is the fact that people can come to the institute as clients as well says there are people that you know sear training. But you also have a whole body of people that come -- for. Tree service says -- it's a good point that's what makes our graduates so valuable in the marketplace we really believe in my mother was truly be a retainer and founder of -- philosophy that half of the training -- one of those programs is that working on the public that's real time real skin. Real individuals with -- instructors being present so that our student clinic in Woburn. Actually is is just the perfect place if you wanna come and get services. At a discounted rate again they are students performing them with the instructors present -- my graduates leave hitting the ground running. They have really worked real time real people seem real skin and they can they really know yet they like make those added there's clinical setting always and they know what to do.
Thus there's there's someone out there who's thinking of going into this profession you know getting you know working with a plastic chairs were to lose or talisman to working in this posh -- And they're looking for. And education. This would be the place for them --
Well again as my -- has never felt like work I'm their area single day -- and I believe that we run the finest training facility in the country many people tell me that you come to -- I have a lot of -- nationals and us as someone who teaches there. I've met people from all over the country who come to your place -- we have -- all of the Carlo country they come and stay and I encourage anybody that's into sadness addicts to look at my website it's Catherine Heinz dot edu. -- stuff for them it's CH TH ER I NEH night and DS dot edu look at our website if you wanna call the student clinic at 781. 9353344. I think for women today in man. Where it is growing increasingly with males and females is one of the one of the nicest professions to be -- because it's really the wellness. Industry to and we are integrating our practice that. We feel good to treat anybody in all about anti aging it's all about -- it -- treatments hyper pigmentation. I mean you're not going in if you wanna relaxation response go to a destination spot have a right size. If you really want to. I'm feel good about yourself change the appearance of your skin because you're not happy when you come -- thousand dollar suit. It's not gonna make the way your skin looks any better. May help with the -- scandalous but truly today I know it's really in they're in the market place. I think we were out looking at new careers were living longer I think that's key to how the industry is growing both the plastic surgeon dermatology practices -- as well as the aesthetics and it's just it's a wonderful wonderful industry in -- field and doing like yeah we feel good doing exactly like you know authority -- doing everything you know and you're doing -- English -- making people feel better about themselves and again I don't -- people looking produced. I say -- the best you can learn whatever you are for yourself. For yourself.
And I would ask unisex it would take a call and who got down on one but. I'm gonna ask you the second about. Placement and getting jobs in just a statistic in this economy this thing welcome to show your -- doctors should cast he and Hines goes.
I I can't I can't charity you how excited I am that they are both -- except I'm going upstairs this week. You know I don't know if I have pets I you to -- to and I think he had a place in new. Yeah.
I remember that place that's don't know that that's at -- yeah and I don't have hi Donna how are you -- so I -- coming -- next week -- be the well no but she's glad to show their planet in this way I think.
And I -- going to -- ear is good I can't say enough about the treatment I have I've got to have played the best that's what -- facial. And they cannot -- here but kept -- tiny -- has.
So Yankee you've been calling for a long time so I'm guessing over the years you've seen a change in the level of services that they can deliver on the effectiveness some of these treatments.
Absolutely and I went to when they kept their their -- that metric and the yeah. I love that place beginning at I'd say I'm gonna be up this weekend I and I love -- and out thanks a lot and when -- and they you know so I am.
I don't love it -- pretty good -- that you voice and I don't think I'm glad to hear your voice.
Well I'm glad Judy and I guess I'm on my way to work and I earned on. Based radio station and I cannot believe that I will call on Monday and make an appointment.
All right Donna thank you for the call thanks Don or 61726668686172666860. Of them doctors or -- about. Anything plastic surgeons is changing your life and a mile with Catherine and -- And this is a difficult economy for very much everybody that I've talked to were met. How has beauty industry held up. In this economy and if people commuter school what is the likelihood of them getting placed in a -- with a connection make money and do well and thus -- stuff well.
You bring up a good question we have been recession proof historically. I've been in the business myself personally for almost thirty years. And this economic climate has hurt every industry. It hit us for the first time. But we are still our placement rate is 95% that means 95 miles out of my graduates actually get jobs in the end it's been in all honesty they all stay in the industry forever. We don't have to track after that but we do know they're getting placed we currently. I want the only schools that has a dedicated team. Ford just job placement and career opportunities. We have host a website which we have either medical providers or institutions are spas and salons and actually look for our graduates. On and they are desirable so today. Those placement rates are very strong and we know they are going to work and we do everything we can't might commitment actually is the president and CEO of the company is. To network in the industry to build relationships to help them to find those positions and and our job our graduates do get jobs over other graduates based on that training. Which I'm very proud of its reputation that we've built.
I'm says he injustice that was -- are just -- but we're gonna ask you about what is the most important -- can do make this can look younger and that people understand how let's go to -- one. We've got to -- are welcome to the show are.
Thank you -- just so I would I -- mastectomy. Sixteen years ago and I'm very happy to be get a talk about it to tell the truth now absolutely as well as a tremendously different. I had a transplant operation and a tremendous difference. It wouldn't both guys and then curious about getting. Breast reduction. On -- doesn't listen to this Qaeda wasn't done and what that would entail. Well there's there's. I know I just don't have a lot of question that there.
Let me catch our listeners ups and -- don't know what we've talked of as a -- You had tramps leverage region had a tissue taken from readers to premiere abdominal wall. Since issued take out in the tummy tuck. But consider taking that they transferred up to your chest to create a -- my country you see them assuming they made a nipple -- realist so looks like a breast. Yeah okay okay okay. So yeah the rest mound and that breast is he's going to be you know fairly. The other -- which was not done and I'm assuming it is as you do so now you're calling since how to equalize those two -- essentially her question well yes -- naturally be effect to this is fairly commonly done now when they do the -- up a want to go off and do the breast reduction on the other side because. You know you've got to really sort of tighten that dressed up on the other side and reduce the size of his so looks more like the other side. And that's a fairly standard straightforward easy to -- and it could you race yet to -- taking out. Skin. Press and rest issue in your bringing in the -- their real up to that took the appropriate height. At the same time they probably can create another Nepal and real for the side that where they did the reconstruction to give you you know that -- appearance of looking pretty symmetric.
popularity in there are lots of sensation when the other breast reduction.
Actually there have been some studies showing that of their sensations increased -- the breast reduction for the when you when you do have a large Angeles press. There's a stretch of put on the nerves so they've done done nursing stations over they've tested the nipple in the real you know for reduction. And and after the Dutch once everything's -- of course. That's the notional opponents stress of people a summit in actual cessation is better. Often than there was before him prisoners are no longer being stretched as much.
Because with a tram flap -- temptation of breast surgeon and yet demand and ended just a bad wouldn't be opposite.
That's -- that's a big operation NC you know there's a lot -- stuff done to the body and it's it's not it's not really breast percent sort of press mound -- an abdominal tissue so you really wouldn't have some kind of sensation came.
No my last quick question is -- they look older than my material on Medicare I can't read that it is covered by Medicare actually my direct.
This should be yes my -- just check with him to be sure but I generally speaking that that anything -- to do with breast cancer in reconstruction following breast cancer I would be a medical condition would be covered by insurance.
Early last attended that is this the painful surgery.
Breast reduction yeah. On a scale of one to 101 being the least painful. Ten being unfairly painted to look at two I think it's generally not very hard pressed to get into any computer and you're welcome thank you for the call are.
617. 2666868617. 26666. Sick calls to save your questions -- on a daily thing I wonder was whether we should get somebody on the preferred provider network -- some breast reconstruction that we would recommend they'll put someone on the Internet that would be as good. Seeing going forward. Yeah. That's a very specialized. -- exactly they're people who pretty much do nothing but. Breast reconstruction. After messed -- we're talking about -- a breast cancer and when you. Action although unit be honest with you. Breast cancer has changed very much enters from the from the treatment parameters where they're very few missteps to -- is being done now. Most of the time they're able to accomplish a lot of this with. Lumpectomy and radiation and chemotherapy. And so there's a lot more breast. And I'm preservation I guess is the word I would use. So that the number of mastectomy is socially breast reconstruction teams are going down we go back and of the so gonna take some more calls. But right now we're gonna take a break critical seventies.
Welcome back having big fun today you -- Thank -- left doctors telling you Biden did -- 617. 2666868. At 617. 26666. Anything about plastic surgery we can handle at Gibson tried a new direct to the phones for line one we've got Lori welcome to the show Lloyd.
I Ariel Caldwell saying tell you today while -- for and I love what quo I think Duncan Smith started well. Yeah Rivera and David I'm in -- are. You're you have a wonderful claimed he -- I'm anxious to make me cry edition. I I just I love him Bernie and now. And -- you have to -- great team and -- dispute and actually let them all there is issued graduate next space so as well this he was amazing and amazing that so Luis Tiant. And I I guess I'd give my head and I've been you know my MySpace that I knew very -- they'll prefer our governor were -- so.
Well Laura thanks so much for your business and thanks -- thanks for the call taking the time all right we appreciate their help. Where is 61726668686172666. 68. In case you're just joining us we've got of course Kathy Syria does those with me and of the feel the facial aesthetics and institutions and medical institutions and -- don't know about that but I -- ask you do you -- have you questioned. You provide all the services -- school you teach people how to do these techniques but you also provides services for the general public figure clinic so the clinic. Other people who work in the clinic to have participated and and keen knowledge and experience and people who come to these PlayStation replace Steve thank. Gained the benefit of all their expertise. Com. And you so works it works both ways negated this kind of ripple what do you think is the most important thing. Timmy -- skin look better. It is there it is there one or two things that. There that you think of the most important make so much to look better. Well out of respect for my mother I'm gonna have -- answer first I wanna make sure I get a chance to answer questions but make your -- who only got like another arrow out so.
I -- galvanic current into one of the most important things that we have and it isn't well known as galvanic planet. Actually they're now calling it microbes on -- Michael currents are so on conferees this cost -- cents. And we would given that because so we came from hairdressing. License here. And they used to use that really in a related -- and made it possible for us to have it. In this 21 century. Was given to -- in the 28. And it was electricity first coming in they did in fact they that the sparking. That they put on the hand -- did in fact help people's hair.
Well. Is that in the -- facial. It's not -- it in the German Imus allocation chip under a restaurant tomorrow current into this front into the German institutions electrical current. In the dumbest -- what to -- who makes a shrinking contract I type in -- it does insights this fiberglass the collagen and actually drives the product solutions here comes anything we're trying to do peptides into the skin contact they just into the --
So what will you do do you really desolate and put the words or somebody else that we should be thinking about also well.
I'm gonna go back to the relationship Joe I've had with you for years is that I think you have to have an integrated approach to taking care of yourself today like I love it that we work with the doctors and I really do I like that doctors push. The patients back to us to do the skin care and I think when you do the work you do so beautifully in them we actually do. Any kind of the technology in those of the tools of institutions are not using. Technology that is equipment with electricity. Micro current chemical peels LE EDs light emitting guy knows that actually help predict the -- out of the skin. Vibrations. And things. You're not business day but an integrative approach I think is the best for a final outcome that you feel really good about yourself I mean we've all got some peace that we -- goes -- goes hand in hand with the final product which is the way they skin presents itself credit going to have a facelift -- have a -- for plastic and not then take good care of your -- a black kids. An out of a tight infirm and hydrated and and the pigment in good shape why bother.
I'd rather it's a multifaceted approach I just we've but I about a drastic surgery as well amid things that we do or that in the same event it's death it's it's a systemic sort of full bore approach and he just a common do -- walk -- continue to maintain your skin and enhance it and do all these.
That's right and I think the integrated approach today with a medical community has really helped institutions whereas initially -- were very threatened to about the doctors to sign away our business sure -- to any of our I -- any European or not. -- I say you know we you have to make sure that we worked hand in hand because we make you look better you make us look better and you get to keep the patient that much longer as well as we get to keep the client's friend you know it's a wonderful Elaine.
Patients benefit because it just keep looking better and better and better. We're gonna go back to the phones these that these kinds doesn't just generate Sony phone calls that I think come visit us for a honorary membership to their fan club do you think we can connect secure that I wanna go get us treatment Glenda. You're on -- go to doctors -- so welcome to the show.
I just wanted to say hello and Catherine. This is Glenda from up in New Hampshire.
Hi Glenn now what I.
Ladies the commemoration graduate. In the last couple years have been through the domestic programs at the actor is -- I have to say every time I go somewhere and takes the post grad courses that other opportunities. I find that. The women who come from -- kind -- situation that should -- there are more than women who are in this field now. It. We just have been given such an advantage that you -- because of the education budget passed stopped what I'm just so grateful for.
a lot of doors doesn't.
Absolutely does it -- does so I really really appreciate -- education there and the continuing education that you offer. For a -- your post graduate so the type of.
And I just wanna say I'm Glenda is one of our huge success stories we have many many many success stories. But Glenda is true professional she has come back to my program three times -- has four children plan not. -- So she's worked diligently to travel to my institute to get not only her basic education and came through for the masters program runs a very successful practice of her own has bought all the technology -- lot of -- analysts say all the technology and I know -- bought some technology every every. Everything. On. I'd say these graduates like Ann Glendon who truly had that entrepreneurial spirit which is how the institute. Was founded our mission statement is to create financial independence for women -- is one of those success stories. And you know accolades do you plan for making us look so good so thanks again our phone calls today I couldn't we appreciate it yeah thank you so much thank you. You know what I'm hearing out of that is. People offer a lot of advanced skin. Stuff out in the public arena and now days it's not just -- them off.
Now we've got a surprise Gloria -- for another half hour could show up against BC football so come back from the other side of the break -- 617. 2666868617. 2666868. I'm doctors so they're behind girls who got Kathy Syria that change your life.
Talk radio wave of personality. Rush Limbaugh every week they removed a flurry. Only here on Boston's -- Hard you know. -- on radio for anyone whose life could be improved with just a little changed -- the -- to reserve he's board certified plastic surgeon Jose Barroso on Boston's talk station paid him six AB. W mark carrier.
Boldly going -- Boston radio show has ever gone before it's the season does Rousseau and change your life fabulous. Faster than in times. Chicago officials settings and first flight -- cohost Cathy cereals. -- had an interest in first hour but we have let a bonus half are for you were until 130. To we've got to believe unfortunately for BC bet they football. But we've got that we're gonna go right to the calls in just a second but to see it feel free to join us this excellent seven. 266686861726660. Succeed if you too embarrassed to be on the radio and -- get a question you can just call law aren't. Have my office is 617. 9641440. Net sty 64. Fourteen -- you can talk to -- calling for is you don't -- Speak to us on the radio until she's gonna -- and -- tells what call she's been getting. You can feel -- Millicent questions that Joseph A Russa MD dot com. He can go on her website. Had just a serious and he does come look at before after photos there. Do you think -- more information on programs that we do. And I you can look at a preferred provider network but right now we're gonna go -- one. And we got Rachel you're on the air.
Hello Aaron I ritual. Welcome to show -- what's going on.
Not a whole lot I was just -- needed my leg when I hear the doubt I run battered.
It was a slight -- at the -- you mean. Yes. You wanna tell us about that. Well.
I came and then I had the after losing about a way. And year old he did in my lag on the highways Iranian college and they at our great bailout -- much that I had no idea --
I'm so have to hear that did it effect change your life as I keep telling people about the show.
It really deadening heat got so much more content like. They they they -- meg not -- they're not like they look compassionate in my entire body I love.
We can I interrupt for just 12 I actually was there for that surgery tell you let me on the kind of observe while you were doing -- Harriman the most important part of this patient was the fact about -- she was eighteen years old and had a lot of self esteem but did have some figure fault I think after losing a hundred pounds of like insane on the radio -- I -- you don't -- me mentioning that. But there are we let the after. I think results with the self esteem combined -- that. Has been -- life altering you know life altering because I know way to you came back in -- doctor -- follow up and discuss that dimension that. So those kind of stories I think there's this one really. Really what it's about you.
Well that's that's this this is the case in point for what we do for what you do what what we all -- and some of the cases are bigger than others that they don't have sort of a similar. That Clinton backed up that's that it's something about that bothers you did you get done -- change your life because that no longer inhibits you from going forward in doing these things and and pursuing us an opportunity for change or 6172666868. We've got Lauren timeline for alarm.
Do you.
Yeah yeah. How high you know Laura and I -- employees.
IA analyst Lebanese interior coordinator how are you today but I just found stabbed and thank you we appreciate you today he's saying that.
While I could put clean I had a bunch of calls. Being about peace and crying about late inspection they want and snow white areas of the body. You can read the -- and it is that permanent.
Momentum does an excellent questions. From. Basically the answers you can -- any part of anybody with a sat. And I. I'm really from head to toe and we've done everything from official at the suction -- ankle liposuction a cavity that's right.
Some of -- can be done in the office some of that is that needs to be done in the hostels and just points and how many areas.
In the amount of what would you -- is the most. Common area of the body that we.
I don't I think love handles. Through it that's men and women this man's thighs for women and men men EMI so what's usually man you would've -- minutes usually see is their chest area or. Definitely love handles abdomen and belly and -- next to him -- net that's true I actually. Forgotten that and what about women. Women definitely more that -- Whether it's inner out area inside than me he sometimes it's more -- from the -- mile area is yeah yeah yeah again.
But we can do essentially anyone who don't have our ankles and an arm -- is an investment and in cases we've done.
I don't know yet it's just a matter of where people seem to that the majority of people collect fat in certain areas women. As you've talked about from the belly down to the knees and for men it's it's a -- more that waste. Fields spare tire.
In Lowell is those -- question it was apparent is that what yes Prado in the com. Yeah I mean that's something we've talked about on the -- a fair number of times that you're born with a fixed number of fat cells. And debt as she goes to a -- don't make any news vessels and you don't lose and they just get bigger or smaller in response to weight gain weight loss. So that once you perform liposuction you're you're actually physically removing these cells from the body. He don't make anymore however if you are if you would've put on weight again. Those areas would get always a little bit smaller but you never give back the love handle of the saddle bags -- the.
The -- that was also in fairness to say that. Sometimes people think they might have gotten fat somewhere else and what it is is safe you know started eating and they end up with a fat cells that are remaining elsewhere in their body red -- and think -- a fat shifted its not that at all that's their original fat cells getting --
That's fixed so if you do put out a way to pass the somewhat but it's -- that's not gonna go to those series that you -- at least not as much because you remove the majority of those -- you don't you can't move also -- your body needs that. For the skin to glide over the muscle in the you know for there to be some layer of insulation only some amount.
Patting looks nicer on people let's face it. Can I and a little bit tonight about the institution through all this is -- sure we file with liposuction because we have a lot of patients -- come to us referred. I'm doing some of the FO irrationally and such really helps with the outcome of the way. -- early days that you do it it's definitely a skill this skit is can he is the best -- me Catherine do you wanna. Tell about your liposuction what doctor -- I mean my mother's had her flanks done she's better ways stunt her stomach done -- act like myself that yeah I -- Just beautiful war but the F petition really doing some of that massage after with a headset also feel good and we think it's wonderful and it's one girl had extra swelling that's right then it takes on some of the demon things like Shuler.
Affinity callers wanting we've got I think nine minister summoned left on the air ripped off it once -- if we're sharp so he was a consequence 796 sort 617. 2666868617. 2666060. Lawrence thank you for updating us on the calls against but such is such a big topic community some things to talk about. But we seem to get calls -- that every week. Well there everybody has some fat that they don't want let's face it that's. And the issues that we -- skinny ladies that's right why models one of the issues that we have seen a present widgets are patient this week -- it is almost publish a month. This patient had liposuction and in a mall this. Tonight you'll do you you'll know you'll know what I'm talking about there's a certain. Company then you -- president who puts themselves in the malls may offer other services in this this patient. -- she was premeditated had to sit out in a mall yet I -- people going by. Taking down and whatever they -- it to do get doped up if she was sort of you know kind of staggering around the mall she went into this malls place. And she had -- Pesci. Got so. Badly damaged Dan thanks so I of the -- summer doesn't know any better and that's frightening to me she came into my office of what what you wish it was last weekend Kathy matter. I I and I she's gonna be and I'm so impressed with -- search is going to be on this show it's gonna tell her story of low. She's gonna tell what happened I heard she's gonna tell used things that you would not believe. I think she paid for she paid for it that's she's gonna have to be four times as much to fix it says it Padilla and take years of work. And mix isn't as easy -- This is damaged on a citizen are an artillery -- not to wear shorts. I'm sure now wear a bathing suit soon not let anyone see her legs and he Sampson begrudgingly shown to Mia MI yeah I'm I'm -- to -- but I mean. That the skin was stuck down under her muscle. Do it looked like she'd been the victim of a shark bite. Yet again -- anti big channel of we're gonna have run on them so and I'm so sorry sorry for her do you do some of those -- fat trans. -- gonna have you're going to Georgia I would think there's not a -- talented joy in what Mbeki and the publishers a little -- body. She she doesn't have enough there's still in the hall well we talked a little bit about maybe using so many ultra it was a new pillar -- that and highlighted in addition to -- how to -- I lift the -- the skin is it is a disaster. How is figuring we'll got to go back to the cost to the calls could get it a couple calls before -- golf -- and you rodeo doctor Russo.
I thank you very much for taking my call -- a couple of questions some. I'm an older woman. Sixty try if -- and I can't Kelly cash very very at how much can you take truck.
Okay good question I'll take your hands and squeeze your belly whatever you can grab with your hands I can take up. -- so because what that -- whatever because what that means is that that status above the muscle. He's above the abdominal wall so anything you can squeeze with their hands you can take -- liposuction.
That's very trusting and now I have put the cost this is there any idea -- if any idea that caught yeah.
I I generally can't discuss price over the phone because he's too there's a difference for -- and if you call Lauren -- just on the phone in my office said 964 of 1440. She can give you an estimate up over the phone.
You know though one thing I would like to add to that -- is that sometimes particularly at this age group. Here's skin tone might not be as great in he would wanna do a -- to see whether it's really an issue of not just fat -- in terms of tightening in the surface skin which might not all together. On be resolved with liposuction.
That's right he you have to assess the -- that's really the most important liposuction yeah it's -- skin is loose then you might not need by the human need to tummy tuck. But it's a -- is fairly elastic steps back pretty well then -- probably gonna solve the problem and you would know that a -- despite grab you by the graphic it and I have. That's a very good point via. But you could take as much strategy need and it's it's you know it's really quite it's a safe procedure. And we've done everything from one leader liposuction stood at eight or nine or ten -- assumptions.
I have quick question for the girls suspect you know little bit about what men coming in for these days it's a good question why that's a really good question -- well we increasingly -- all we have bomb probably 10% of our population of enrolled students are -- I would try to find an interesting. And actually men are very successful in this industry in the New England area which you might not think would be the case that they are. And we see in our student clinic probably. Fifteen to 20% of the that the clients are males are they young they're younger are on they tend to be of all ethnicities they're coming for acne and especially. They're coming for mail waxing that's chest back and mail Brazilians believe it or not we do have those we train man in the institute. They're coming for facials for aging also I have quite a few emails that come for spot treatments. They really come into just have relaxation they wanna salt glow they wanna -- And again before we end the show I want to give a little plug for the school. On the website is Catherine Heinz dot edu CE THE RI NEH IN DS dot edu and the phone number two. Schedule any claimants is 781935. 334 for the Kathy we do have increasingly more and more mail clients and as I've always said and I think mom you always said. They're better clients now they're more compliant. Yeah loyal and they don't go anywhere else they do what to tell them to do break in bad become a psychiatrist -- all the other thing they're not doing -- women traditionally are shopping everywhere Nancy you know we -- we're looking for lightning in a -- there is no lightening in a jar if it's not pharmaceutical. It does not do a whole lot more than penetrating I think -- in on the outer layers of the skin that doesn't mean there's lots of efficacy and those products. But they they tend to be very loyal they come back we do exactly what to tell them to do when they get excellent results. I'm starting to even see younger men doing Botox -- absolutely the other thing social though it -- it would definitely on the upswing in terms of people investing in their parents will even young women today I'm amazed at what they really have learned that we didn't know there's so far ahead thus far ahead of us can and they're taking any -- sun screen well that's better than us today -- under or is it when I speak to people in that clinic and I say that every student coming and I do every orientation -- they've been greatest in DEG ingredient I can recommend to you today is -- the year round a year round I don't care -- All the time don't do it just because -- around the -- you're walking you're getting UV exposure all the time sun screen sun -- onscreen -- water I think the young -- get -- that's almost like seat -- they -- yet and they stick with it but it's women forty and -- thank you really have to work -- convincing them. That's hand isn't gonna make them look fatter well I think that we having gone and we don't have time to do it -- should do -- show on tanning beds because I think issue again all -- anyone under eighteen is admitted into those facilities and they should be regulated and I think that they are doing an enormous amount of damage -- to. Young skins and older -- yes death Dowdell and dangerous.
One of the nice things about your school about the show it our practice in general is that it's really all about education and correct him and -- coming to this because they're now for the first time hearing that -- And he put up probably avoiding candidates is the first time. They've heard about this stuff are so.
Your world out there there are a whole another round that we had. Just barely tapped to yeah yeah and the only way people you know understand this is a big pot being told us why -- been so important to into the show that there's no history get where education that's. Tremendous tremendous and -- say it's been such a pleasure -- just a minute left and there's such a pleasure to have been kept the momentum is so. Joe I'm always a pleasure to be with you Kathy honor and right well I'm honored to be here today that my mother and I think on the system appreciate how did you learn how. Incredibly you guys are the hall of famers blood impressions. I'm happy as always just.
